We had the roast we think the vegetables could have been cooked a little more as some were quite hard. Also some of the vegetables were cold. The puddings were very nice.

The chef substituted cheddar for mozzarella without telling me but luckily I spotted it because I'm very sensitive to it and would have had an afternoon in pain if I'd eaten it. Very careless 😏.

Disappointed. The restaurant had little atmosphere and the staff seemed disinterested. The food was nothing special and we were not very impressed with the choices on the menu. Won't be going back. Sorry

Lovely rustic pub with open fire and a friendly atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and the Sunday carvery was so delicious with proper roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. Will definitely visit again.

Perfect setting, "oldy worldy"; outside so pretty & inside absolutely wonderful. Big open fire with chesterfield sofa's to relax into. The seating in the restaurant was very spacious and lighting soft and welcoming. The menu is excellent and there is also a variety of specialised dining evenings and carvery (the carvery & curry evening are a must)! The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Thank you

Loved the fact that the Carvery catered for vegetarians with a nut roast. Good selection of meat as well for the non veggies. The added bonus was a fantastic selection of vegan desserts. Hope that the selection continues after January. Only negative is that off the main menu there is only one vegetarian meal and vege burger. It would have been nice to see 2-3 options especially as the pudding menu had a good selection. Enjoyed the sunday roast.

Went for the midweek carvery and it was delicious as always. There was 4 meats and you can choose to have some of each. So much different vegetables to choose from, just help yourself to how much you want. Fresh and hot. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I really enjoy my roast here and defiantly recommend going.

Staff were very nice and there was a nice atmosphere. We were there for a special occassion and were disappointed at our experience. They did have a power supply problem that night, which wasnt their fault but meant that the carvery had to be served from the kitchen. The plates were cold so this made the meat and potatoes etc lukewarm. The cauli cheese was tepid as was the gravy. The yorkshires were cold not warm at all!! It all tasted as if it had been reheated. We were very disappointed. It would have been so much better had they contacted us and let us know they had power problems and cancelled the booking. Overall we decided that we would not be visiting again.

I had booked a table for the opening time. The food wasn’t quite ready when we got there but we only had to wait a few minutes. We were presented with an excellent selection of beautifully cooked fresh food, especially the vegetables! It was quiet with some background music that wasn’t intrusive. Even when it got busy, the noise levels were still such that you could hold a conversation across the table with ease. The pub is a lovely old English country pub with all its quirks. The staff are super friendly and made the whole experience a fantastic one. Will definitely be going back!

Arrived at the Merry Miller, and being a mid week lunchtime the table was ready immediately. The service was vey good both for food and drink, and I could not fault the quality of the fish and chips which I really enjoyed. Would recomend the Merry Millar.

The food was very nice and it was hot, which is so important. The service was very quick and we were asked if wanted to wait between main and dessert, which made us feel very relaxed. It would have been nice to be asked if we would like coffee a sort of follow up to the end of the evening
