Had a lovely meal with my friends or my birthday. The menu had a good choice of starters, mains and deserts. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will be returning very soon.

It was not our first time at The Mew, but as always we had a thoroughly enjoyable meal, to celebrate my wife's birthday. The staff were pleasant and professional and the food was very tasty and beautifully presented.

Nice quirky place - good welcome, friendly and attentive staff, tasty food and not too busy. Maybe a little over priced.

Not great if you dont eat meat/dairy. Poor vegan/dietary options. Meat eaters in the party loved every bite however. And as always great service.

Food very nice all came up hot and together both starters and mains glad we got in before 8pm rush good staff they know there jobs, just wish there was some soft furnishings in there to cut some of the noise it's hard to have a conversation, but on the whole a good restaurant.

This place was recommended to us and what a disappointment it was . It took ages to get three cups of coffee , the was a heated phone discussion by staff in front of us and it did not look very clean

Always a really lovely ambiance about The Mews. The old brickwork, low lighting etc, feels like you aren't in Southend. The food was really tasty and Service was good, definitely a nice place to eat and drink.

The restaurant and service was nice but the menu was fairly limited and extremely expensive. £34 for a fillet steak is more expensive than most London restaurants, £20 for fillet of seabass again far too expensive. I just didn’t think that a local restaurant that is nice but not special justifies these prices.

Food is amazing here and the atmosphere is great. Would highly recommend to friends and family. The only reason I didn’t give a perfect score was the food wait was quite long - but it was worth the wait! :)
