So, we know The Mill Bar & Bistro Otley is all about high-quality, classic British dishes, but let’s take a closer look at this Ilkey Road restaurant’s menu. To begin, we recommend a couple of starters to share like the crispy pork belly served with confit chicken wings and a chorizo crumb; grilled chilli garlic king prawns and a serving of the fresh mussels that can come cooked in a marinara or spicy Thai sauce alongside freshly baked bread and butter.
For the main event, if a succulent steak is what you’re craving, the Mill Bar & Bistro Otley is for you. You’ll find a selection of delicious cuts of locally sourced steak that come served with onion rings, tomato and mushrooms and your choice of potato and sauces. Or, perhaps The Mill burger is more up your alley, just make sure you arrive hungry enough. Also serving up fresh seafood including pan-fried sea bass; smoked haddock mornay and grilled lemon sole as well as a particularly delightful British lamb rump with all the trimmings. We went for Valentine's Day and as with most other restaurants, there was a special set meal on offer. Unlike many other restaurants, however, there was also the option of the normal a la carte menu. We chose this, and the food was delicious. The service was friendly and efficient, and I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Lovely well presented food with some unusual twists. Friendly service in a nice environment. The low and slow cooked lamb with wonderful red cabbage was excellent and the frozen grapes with the cheese must be tried at home. Good value for 14 Feb too.
Friendly welcome on arrival, lovely atmosphere. Great menu choice and reasonably priced wines. Fabulous food served by friendly and helpful staff. Early bird menu. Warm comfortable surroundings. Definitely going again.
