Good atmosphere staff friendly and helpful but not enough of them. Hour and half wait for food then was Luke warm and burgers burnt.

Staff were friendly and helpful - good choice of food and reasonably priced. The decor was lovely! My only slightly criticism was they order for one of the meals was wrong but it was ok and the food could have been warmer.

We came to celebrate my dad's 90th birthday and we weren't disappointed. The pub was beautifully decorated, with a warm ambience. The food was excellent, generous portion sizes and nicely presented. Nick, the host, couldn't do enough to accommodate us, especially as dad is in a wheelchair. Our waiter, didn't catch his name, was helpful and attentive. Well worth a visit.

We were disappointed with the cod. My wife did not like the black skin and I disliked the large amount of salt on the fish. We appreciate the cost of fish is increasing but felt the small size was a compromise too far. The chips are still wonderful.

Service ambience and friendliness of staff was very good. However the beef was overcooked and tough. Vegetables were ok but we had to ask for the cabbage to be strained as there was water in the bottom if the dish. Starters were very good. When asked how our meal had been, we expressed our disappointment and the staff were very apologetic and said they would pass on our comments.

Fabulous Sunday lunch with all the trimmings. Served by attentive polite and friendly staff. Cracking Purity ales served to perfection.

Very poor food. Braised beef lacking flavour and tough. Veg poor. Carrots soft kept warm for ages, parsnips hard inedible. Pork belly reasonable but tasteless. Over priced
