London’s beautiful Paddington is home to numerous fine dining establishments, some of which are stuffy and overpriced. Breaking away from this image is The Mughals Restaurant, where fine Indian cuisine is served in lovely surroundings that are charming while still remaining unpretentious. With some of the friendliest servers in the city, The Mughals Restaurant makes sure that each and every guest is looked after and taken care of, all the while serving the London’s most flavourful curries, breads, rice dishes and desserts.
At The Mughals Restaurant, diners choose between a varied assortment of dishes made with lamb, chicken, seafood, or vegetables. With a menu featuring clearly marked ingredients specifying which items contain nuts or dairy products, guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions are easily able to distinguish which dishes are most suitable to eat. Spicy classics like chilli chicken masala and lamb dansak are perfect for spice lovers, while the chicken saag and prawn korma are ideal for milder palates. A meal at The Mughals Restaurant on London Street in Paddington wouldn’t be complete without a side order of their famous naan, and be sure to order one of the signature cocktails, a perfect accompaniment to wash everything down before indulging in one of the restaurant’s decadent desserts.
It's a good place to eat some indian food. Restaurant's people is really taking care of you and it's a great pleasure to have a meal at this place.
Very tasty!! Not spicy but full of those great Indian flavors. Try the many different naan's you won't be disappointed. Reservations are easy via quandoo or their website.
Very friendly service and a good price for what we ate. Unfortunately it was not possible to order food from the menu. Buffet quite delicious!
Excellent Tikka, but they served with chicken not with the lamb I ordered. Good selection of wine. Setting in the restaurant is fine, well aired
We booked for 8.00 pm and because of traffic delays arrived 20 minutes late. At first they didn't want to give us a table and we would have had to wait for another 30 minutes but they relented and seated us near the window which was fine. After that the food was pretty good - my colleague particularly was impressed by the prawn puri -and the service was fast.
Food was excellent, and the portions generous compared to most Indian restaurants. The butter chicken and Lamb Korai especially good. The dahl was runny and disappointing. The staff rather pre-occupied and aloof. Our table, as with a lot in the first part of the restaurant, meant that you were constantly being bumped into by staff and arriving customers. The lighting is not very attractive, so ambiance altogether does not match up to the food.
Second time I have been here and I will visit again. Food could have been a bit spicier but it was tasty anyway. I regularly stay at a hotel close by so it's convenient, located close to Paddington Station and Tube. Reasonably priced and the service is fine although a little slow last nite. Only complaint; limited wine list!
The food was good, especially the naan. However, it really felt like the waiters were rushing everything. Granted, we were there close to closing time, but it really felt like the staff were rushing to get us to leave. This made our visit less enjoyable. Not sure I would return.
The food was good and service excellent, would not hesitate to recommend this Restruant you would get a very good Indian. All of us had different dishes ranging from tikka Marsala to vindaloo and they all were orthantic
The overall service was good - almost too fast. Although I had booked I was just shown to the nearest table and they didn't ask for my name. The chicken tikka masala tasted good and but with no dish warmer it soon cooled down.
Lovely food, really really tasty and I love Indian so it can be hard to impress me! Also great location not far from Hyde Park, would definitely go again if staying nearby!!
Welcoming and nice atmosphere, and really good and authentic food (Masala fish and vegetables were really well prepared) thanks a lot to all the team !
Cracking little restaurant, happy to use again when I'm back in the Paddington area. Tip - book in advance if you can, it does get busy.
Buffet only on weekday lunchtime. Not much choice. Food not hot. Cheap though. We paid under £13 each and that included a glass of wine. Plus you can eat all you want.
