Food was fantastic. Service was fantastic. Ended up we ordered before anyone had told us about the specials. We realized it, and the waiter pivoted on a dime to get our entrees changed. Big thanks.

Recently visited this restaurant as a repeat customer and we were treated to a superb lunch. Whilst the lunchtime menu is slightly limited it more than makes up for the quality. Excellent service from the staff despite being extremely busy both upstairs and downstairs. Well done to everyone.

We were pleasantly greeted and shown our seats however the wine list was placed on our table and then removed before we could look at it. Our waitress was very pleasant but struggled to understand what we wanted to order, this resulted in incorrect drinks being brought (we didn't complain as we could drink them anyway). My husband's steak order was also not what was ordered in that he ordered well done (as it was a only a cheaper steak that was available, rib eye) but the Steak came medium well at best and therefore was still "fatty". We didn't complain, paid our bill, tipped the waitress and left.

It was chilly where we were sitting. Every time people came thro the main door we had chilly winds across us. They have a screen to protect eaters but they should have heaters, they were there but not on.

Table was waiting, staff attentive, good selection and explanations were fulsome. Saturday night so some boisterous diners but well worth a return visit, or two.

We travelled for over 30 minutes to reach the restaurant with visitors who had never been to Inverness before. We had told them about how wonderful Mustard Seed was and we were all looking forward to the dining experience. On arrival we were informed that the kitchen was closed. Why, when the restaurant had our phone number, had we not been informed that we couldn’t dine that evening? A shocking lack of customer service and a total disrespect for loyal customers. We know that problems can arise that cause a kitchen to close but there is no excuse for not informing us about the closure. NOT HAPPY.

It was okay. Neither amazing or awful. The attentive server from state side was very helpful but nothing wow’d me about the food. Was good value. So I guess my highest praise goes to that state side soldier

No phone call or email to say we wouldn't get to sit at our table for at least 30 mins as they had a plumber. Disgrace on a Friday night just to arrive and be told this.

The staff were friendly, the service was timely, and the meals were incredible!

Wonderful restaurant. It is warm and welcoming. Attentive reception and service. Meals were innovative but comforting at the same time - a combination of haute cuisine and home cooking. The only negative was a little bit of lag time with drink orders, but not enough give a lower rating.

Had a lovely lunch at the Mustard Seed on a busy Saturday. Staff were all great but special mention to our waitress Emma who was first class and super friendly. Finished off our meal with a couple of cocktails which were absolutely delicious.

Pleasant staff apart from our server who was rather abrupt (she sounded Eastern European) Chicken was dry and tasteless, roast lamb was tasteless and tough. We ate it because we were hungry but declined desserts or any other food and drinks as we were so disappointed .House wine was mediocre. Sorry won’t be back and certainly wouldn't recommend.
