Cold food after a long wait. Not what we were expecting.

Dinner was great! Had the best salad and the thyme chicken. They were able to change the sauce to accommodate my food allergies and it was yummy! Would definitely recommend getting rezis in advance!

Food was very good. Service very friendly. Lovely atmosphere,very busy. Plenty staff on and they were happy.

We were given a warm welcome on arrival and shown to our table. The atmosphere was cosy and charming. It was graduation day so the restaurant was busy (and a little loud) and our initial order was a little slow being taken but the staff were friendly and we were not in any hurry. We ordered and the food arrived promptly, it was beautifully presented and was delicious. Everything on the plate worked really well together (sometimes restaurants just put vegetables on the plate as an afterthought but the whole dish was considered and flavourful). The sweet menu was varied (something for everyone) and when the sweets arrived the looked stunning (like get your phone out stunning) and they tasted amazing! Again everything in the plate complimented each other and real though and effort had been put into the dishes. Great value for money in a beautiful setting with lovely staff and delicious food, what more could you want!

Das Essen war super, das Ambiente eigentlich auch. Aber aufgrund der Vielzahl an Gästen war es laut, der Service war viel z7 hektisch und unpersönlich, das Essen kam viel zu schnell, kaummaufgegessen, wurde der Teller abgeräumt. Wir waren nach 1 Stunde fertig mit Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeise! Also nichts für jemanden, der einen gemütlichen Abend in einem Restaurant verbringen will.

Amazing food - would definitely come back! We ordered the lamb shank (a daily special) and the venison and both were absolutely divine. We ordered some cocktails and whiskey and everything came quickly and was delicious. The service was very attentive and friendly. The value for what you get is good but a tad on the expensive side.

Worst place for our 10th anniversary dinner. Completely disappointed by ambience, cuisine (ordinary and unflavorful for the price). Stay was kind but not exceptional. We waited a hour for our main course. Preference was give.n to obnoxiously loud large parties. There was a section that seemed ideal for quieter couple dinners but we were not seated there. Worst part of our vacation weekend in Inverness.

food was fantastic and service brilliant, the set menu is such good value for money and portions bigger than you would expect. If we are ever back in Inverness we will stop by again.

We each had the special lamb but both were only warm. My wife asked if she could have a hot one. She had started to eat her piece of lamb and this was taken away and heated up and the same piece returned with fresh vegetables. Should this not have been a complete fresh dish

Excellent! Wonderful meal and the staff were outstanding. We had a reservation and the host put us in a seat window overlooking the river. I had duck, amazing and my partner the Sea-bass. Have a reservation but yes a must in Inverness

this is an attempt at fine dining and it is just that 'fine' as in OK. not terrible, not brilliant but fine, OK. Service friendly enough but staff seemed under pressure .scallop & black pudding pretty good but came with a weird salad of the sort that usually garnishes tired sandwiches . Venison slightly over cooked and had odd pointless smear of balsamic vinegar. it as though the chef has seen some pictures and is trying to copy rather than think about flavour.

The traditional scottish dessert Cranachan was great!!! The martini drinks were also delicious.

The food was amazing! Probably the best Prime Rib and Venison we've had in a long while. The Mixed Berry Cheesecake was outstanding! Highly recommend The Mustard Seed while traveling in Inverness.

It was a very delicious meal and the staff were helpful in dealing with our dietary restrictions.

A very perfect dinner with great venison, considerate service and good red wine. Maybe it's because the venison is wild. It's well-cooked and slightly dry, but it's perfect with sauce. The dessert is a little too sweet for me, but overall it is still a very good meal.

Loved this restaurant - such great food, ambiance, and service

It was my first visit to The Mustard Seed. I'd walked in before but been unsuccessful so this time I booked. What a wonderful menu. We tried the spicy pakira and mackerel pate for starters. Then the steak and the pork lion for mains. All were wonderful and great value. I can't wait to return.

Restaurant was great but we were sat in an alcove that felt very apart from the restaurant. Asked to sit by the fireplace and it was a no. Had these reservations made months in advance and came from Texas. Make sure you get a table by the fireplace or at least upstairs. Would come again.

Wonderful atmosphere, exceptional meal, good service, and worth the price.

Upon completing our dinner service in a loud/noisy dining room (minimal sound insulation and everything echoed) the server took our dishes and then stopped checking in on us. This was unexpected given that Mustard Seed was so highly rated for food and service levels. This would have been fine but when we were ready for our check, but between the 3-4 wait staff running around, none made eye contact with us for us to get their attention. I even raised my hand politely and was not able to get their attention. Ultimately had to stand up in their path to ask for the check after 15minutes of trying to get someone's attention.

We booked with friends and requested a window table. Walked in a little late and were shown straight to the perfect table. Food great and we had a very relaxed evening. Only qualification is that a member of staff was off work and, being short handed, service was a little slow.
