We had a table booked for 7.30 to a lovely welcome , however things then went downhill the starter took over an hour to arrive, then one of the main meals was extremely dry and disappointing and then to round it off the bill arrived and they had charged us for the previous customers drinks!

In the process of changing the wine list so didn’t have the wine we wanted, great food & friendly service.

Staff were lovely but there was a major problem with the chef/kitchen. Table booked at 8 and at 10.10pm we left as food did not arrive - we boy got an apology bob way out - have been before and it was lovely, however won’t be in a rush to go back

in bar areas 2 roaring warm fires, restaurant was very cold , fire was not lit. If this had been lit would have been better Food was good but arrived on very cold plates, so food got cold quickly. Apart from these 2 points we like the white beare and staff are friendly atmosphere is good,

Sunday roast beef was terrible. They told us they serve it pink but we were later told that they had an issue with the oven and couldn’t serve it pink. We had to wait for almost an hour. Eventually they served warmed up beef. Probably a few days old. Avoid.

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast in a cosy atmosphere. Gorgeous Yorkshire puds and slightly crunchy fresh veg. Perfect. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Hope to sample the real ale next time 😁👍

Staff very friendly considering they were rushed off their feet. Food a little on the dry side we ordered the lamb burgers. Not had a problem with the food on previous visits. Likely due to how busy the kitchen was. Price a little expensive for a small burger, fries and a blob of coleslaw. However, the sandwich menu and other menu items are very reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere. Plenty of outside seating. Needed a few more sun brollies out though some tables hogged two other tables were in direct sunlight.
