Let me book online for 7.30pm and they had closed the kitchen at 7.20pm? Little bit odd to close before the average tea time booking?

Fantastic food and service. Great value for money. would definitely recommend the chicken and lamb kofta kebabs. Wilk be coming back next time we are here

Good food and good atmosphere for New Year’s Eve! Might be too loud for some but it is good value and a lovely place well decorated

Am afraid this trip to one of my favourite bars in Harrogate was slightly tainted by a heating issue, or rather lack of heating. The whole building was freezing! Let’s hope they have fixed the issue before our next planned visit on New Years Day.

Party of 7 dined at 7 o’clock in the evening. Service was a little slow to start but the food made up for it. Thank you 😊

Had a fantastic evening. The food was beautifully cooked,had the steak,and it was presented well, the staff were attentive and friendly. Will definitely go again.

The food was decent, but lacked a certain something. Service was good although cup of tea came without tea-bag, and pies were mixed up. Restaurant very clean & waitresses friendly

We dined as a group of 4. The staff were attentive, the food was delicious - particularly the salt and pepper chicken burger. Will be returning.

The venue is set in a lovely old building and check out the wallpaper in the ladies, the food is lovely I had fish and chips the fish lightly battered and big chunky chips whilst hubby had a thin base meatball pizza which he thoroughly enjoy. The staff are always cheerful and attentive.

Staff were great, good friendly service and great surroundings and good food. Overall we had a lovely lunchtime and will definitely go again. Thank you Potting Shed- Harrogate

Really good food and such a weird but wonderful place for a meal. I would recommend it to anyone looking for good food and a great atmosphere.

Arrived early and table was available, food was lovely and arrived quickly. Service was really good. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Good place for girly catch up!

Very disappointing. Were ignored by staff on arrival, and left waiting at reception. My first two choices of meal were both unavailable, which left little for me as I don't eat meat and didn't fancy pizza or curry for lunch. The waitress offered to enquire about the chef preparing a special, then just disappeared for fifteen minutes. We paid for drinks then left, and so can't comment on the food, but the service was appalling.

Was seated straight away, Great service delicious food, especially the pecan pie it was amazing! Great atmosphere too. Love the decor. Will visit again soon.

Great place with good food portions were on the large size and value for money. Will definitely go back. Nice light airy decor and friendly staff.

Enjoyed a very enjoyable lunch with my daughter here. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent - I can recommend the Steak and Ale Pie. Love the ambience of the place. Will definitely be back.

The environment was amazing and the food was the best. Can honestly say that’s the first time I’ve ever ate in a garden shed and loved every minute of it, even the bathroom was nice! There was also acoustic band on playing old and new music which was perfect to relax to with a bite to eat.

Friendly and efficient waiting staff,food delicious and well presented,good and varied menu choice,Beautiful toilets!pleasant surroundings,would certainly recommend to friends,the "quietness" of the restaurant does not reflect this but it was a Monday!

We have eaten at the Potting Shed on a number of occasions now, and the food is always good, so you pretty much know what you’re going to get. The only thing that occasionally lets it down is the service, as sometimes there are not enough members of staff on. Today wa one of those occasions.

Not great.. no music when it was advertised 6-8 and we were there 6-7, ordered a chicken kebab which was just a salad kebab with about 5 small pieces of chicken!

Service was a bit slow between finishing our main meal and clearing our plates away and seeing if we wanted dessert and wanting to pay the bill

Fast food, oversized portions. Homemade coleslaw drowned in mayonnaise. Chicken goujoins very dry covering and lack of chicken inside. Staff friendly. Very quiet and lacking in atmosphere for a Friday girls lunch.

The food was wonderful it was the service that let was not great we were left with our empty plates and not for about 40mins and we’re not asked if we wanted desert

Beatifully decorated with a lovely feel to the place. We were taken to our table as soon as we arrived, but found that was too noisy ,so we asked could we get another table in a quieter area, this was no problem. Our food arrived and we all three of us cleared our plates. The food was first class, and we would recommend a visit.

We enjoyed the food but they struggled with the service. Our server was either new or just couldn’t be bothered to try. She was not confident with the menu or the drinks and suggested on several occasions that we go inside (we were in the patio) and ask at the bar.

Never been before. Very good value on Thursday steak night. Will go again .lovely building and very like places I've been in New York.and Florida.

First visit and struggled to find staff to ask where to sit and then left at table for ages so we walked out and won’t be back

Lovely setting, we received good service and the staff were happy to help. Wednesday they have a 241 deal on burgers and so our final bill was very reasonable. Will return.

Good service Food average. Some came out cold but was swapped when told waitress who was very accommodating and polite. Clean and tidy with lots of space

Great restaurant & dog friendly too. Menu choice was good & reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Atmosphere brilliant & the band playing were fantastic it was just a shame we couldn’t find out who they were. Recommended just for a drink or a meal. We’ll be back xx

The chicken katsu was so delicious and the cocktails were the best i’ve had out! The atmosphere and live music really makes the place stand out

The table I booked was in the main area where the band was playing and it was too loud so asked for a different table which was no problem. Food was very good and the service was ok. I would go again.

Had my birthday meal here, Great food and quick service, defiantly recommend and would defiantly go back to this bar, all staff were very friendly and helped with any questions

Food was terrible; I ordered the vegan cauliflower bowl. It didn't come with the roasted tomato that was on the menu but instead came with 4 slices of underbaked sweet potato. There was one cauliflower floret in my bowl that wasn't roasted but also underbaked and hard. The garlic sauce was tangy and horrible. I asked for more food because I had paid £9 and thought that I deserved more than 4 pieces of sweet potato and one cauliflower floret and it came back with one more cauliflower floret. I didn't eat it and asked for a refund. Not suitable for vegans AT ALL

Rather cavernous and music too loud, no staff welcome or offers of help when we were obviously new to the place, but pizzas were excellent.

Went at 6:00 on steak night. Fantastic setting and great atmosphere. Steaks were cooked perfectly and kids burger was a good size. Waiting staff forgot a couple of items but were quick to bring them to us. Live singing duo were fab. Definitely will be returning

After waiting an hour for food (on a Monday when it wasn’t even busy), the food finally came and part of the order was wrong. We sent it back and waited another 20 minutes for a replacement. The food was average. Out of the few people there, all the ones ordering food we’re complaining about how long it was taking.

Great food great service. Waiter was extremely good at his job. Pizza was one of the best I've had. Have booked to return twice more this week on our visit to harrogate
