The Pub and Kitchen

Had a great night with great company. The pub and kitchen has a great ambience and cosy feel. There was an issue with my steak which was resolved quickly. Service was great with welcoming and attentive staff.. Will certainly be going back.

Nicest Sunday's dinner we have had in a pub. We will be back. You do have to book a table, we just called in the week before and got turned away as they were very busy and only taking bookings, it was worth the wait though. Lovely little border collie to great you too.

Nice food. Lovely staff but no baby change facilities. We asked for a highchair and the fact they had one seemed like babys were welcome but was very awkward changing my little one on the toilet floor

Food was delicious! People have noted the service is slow but for a Friday night it wasn’t too bad at all.

The waiting/Bar staff were excellent. However, sorry to say, the food was very disappointing for 4 out of 6 of us. All chips were old and only just warm. Pie was salty and dry. Hunter's chicken -cheese and bacon were very salty. Fish was watery. Salad accompaniment had a half-slice of small tomato 1mm thick !

Lovely atmosphere, chef stayed back when usually food stops at 6pm on a Sunday. Food was amazing drinks were well priced. Great service friendly staff definitely be visiting again soon

Fantastic food and really good staff. We were made to very welcome and the surroundings were really nice. It would have been relaxing but we were sat opposite a noisy family doing things like changing a dirty nappy on their seats . Not ideal for a restaurant but not the restaurant’s fault I suppose.

Food once again good even though the ovens were off. We really enjoyed the extra company from the resident furry friend who we nearly took home if it wasn’t for our jealous little Westie 🐾🐾

The food here is REALLY good. Obviously price is subjective but to me and I'd imagine to most, it is expensive. That said, I don't think it's overpriced. Great service and well appointed location for superb views from the patio. I gave it 5 out of 6, rather than 6, purely because the toilets are a little small. Two ladies cubicles may well be enough for the size of the place but it felt really awkward sidling past the gents' open door with averted eyes whilst trying to direct 5 year olds down the narrow hall hoping the kids don't get traumatised by looking either.

Never been for many years, but called in as we were out walking with our furry baby, we were made very welcome drinks/food very good even ordered a taxi for our return journey home, and informed us of it’s arrival. Most definitely on our list for more visits.

We arrived for food at 6pm on Friday night and it was an experience put it that way... The staff were running around like headless chickens and looked stressed which I don’t understand as the pub was not even busy. We told a member of staff that we had a table booked but he did not acknowledge this while at the bar so we spoke to another member of staff and he served our drinks and then served someone else and forgot about our dinner reservation. The bar tender looked high as a kite. The atmosphere in the bar was not nice at all. The bar had a group of loud intoxicated people buying shots and drinking heavily. They seemed to domante the bar staff. The food was lovely and we could not fault it. Presentation and taste was really good and priced well.

Fabulous food, relaxed atmosphere & great value for money. Ideal for healthy appertites!
