Fantastic food! The service is great and really makes you feel welcome. We will definitely be going back.
Pleasant pub, good service. Food was good , just would of preferred priced items or a menu to view prior to visit .
Lovely little place, quiet. food was amazing and nice presentation.
Excellent meal for 4 people. Restaurant was not very busy but, despite service being very attentive, waiting times were over long which, we suspect, was due to the kitchen staff being overloaded. Also, not having my favourite beer(s) on tap and a broken cappacino machine resulting in over strong and not too hot 'regular' coffee. Nevertheless, good quality food from a talented young chef.
Wonderful Sunday Roast in lovely surroundings, very welcoming hosts, recommended
We were at the Racehorse for the St Piran's Feast on Friday, and it was excellent. Really friendly staff, and amazing food. We will definitely be back again soon.
Staff and host were excellent and very accommodating. Excellent evening. Many thanks
Lovely pub/restaurant and the food was excellent. The menu was varied but not huge, which is a bonus these days, meaning food is freshly cooked to order. Being Thursday, early evening, 18.30, it was quiet, 3 couples, but it 'felt' comfortable. Will definitely be returning.
Excellent food and very friendly welcome. No problem with the dog joining us and we were also advised on a lovely walk by the river after our meal. We have booked to come back for an evening meal.
We had an absolutely delicious Sunday lunch. The staff are excellent with an obviously talented chef. I have never been disappointed by the menu and there is an extensive selection of wines and spirits. Well worth a visit.
We've been here many times. Ray and his wife are the perfect hosts. The food and atmosphere is always lovely. Not sure how they do such a lovely 3 course meal for such a ridiculously low price. Not sure if you get such an amazing meal anywhere else for under £30.
Fantastic food. Party of 5 this was our first time visiting here and we were not disappointed. Welcoming host and friendly staff. Food was amazing. We all had 3 courses and every single dish was beautiful. Will most certainly be returning!
Fantastic food & service as always - atmosphere warm and friendly, the staff are helpful and go above and beyond and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend! Thoroughly enjoyable meal out.
Every time we eat at the Racehorse, we are never disappointed. We love the place. Really enjoy dining there. We’ve taken friends and family who think it’s great too. Only we wish we lived a bit closer !
An excellent meal with very friendly service in a hard to find pub, but well worth hunting it out. Our party had the set lunch which was very good. A little slow, but this reflected the fact that everything was being freshly made. Highly recommended.
Excellent range of food made with delicious local ingredients. Really friendly and welcoming. Child friendly. Well worth the trip off the A30. Will certainly return.
Very nice experience. The pub was crowded when we entered but we had reserved a table and were seated immediately. Good service throughout a 3 hour long Christmas dinner which left us well satisfied.
excellent food and service.we have esten here a number of tomes and the food keeps getting even better. now looling forward to spanish night !
Spectacular food, possibly the best duck dish I have ever had. Great host and will definitely return when in the area and recommend to others. Impressed both me and my partner and we’ve eaten in some of the fanciest restaurants in the country and your food was arguably as good as some top london restaurants we’ve been to. Congratulate your chef as they produce incredible food.
Lovely ambiance to the pub. The meal was delicious. There were a lot of seasonal events around Christmas and the New Year, which were tempting us to return.
An amazing pub with wonderful food at very reasonable prices and a landlord who takes a real pride and interest in every aspect of his establishment. High quality ingredients, many locally sourced, cooked and beautifully presented with skill and artistry. Highly recommended.
Excellent quality food (mainly from local sources) with great service and a warm inviting atmosphere. It was a really great evening. Will definitely go again!
A really lovely Sunday lunch with all the trimmings. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the pub has a love atmosphere and the overall experience was great.
The food was excellent, the service was excellent, the ambience was lovely and the publican was very funny and friendly. What more could one want?
The meal was beautiful and the service was excellent. We can’t wait to go back already and try the rest of the menu. 2 happy tummies!
Lovely old pub with a warm welcoming open fire. Bit off the beaten track but well worth the visit. Friendly atmosphere and the food was very tasty!
Delicious roast dinner. Excellent starter and dessert. Made to feel comfortable and welcome by host. A really nice experience all round. Will be back again.
Very friendly staff. Beer was a little expensive. And food wasn’t cheap either but Food was very good and I would definitely recommend eating here.
I love this place. Fantastic food at a really competitive price. We have been a few times and have never been disappointed. Great choice of drinks at the bar and always friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for somewhere to eat in the Launceston area, try the Racehorse inn.
Excellent food in both quantity and especially quality. Fresh ingredients, cooked for each order. Good selection of wines. Service OK, friendly and smilling, but just not quite there. EG, no coffee offered, not asked re a repeat of drinks order.
Beautiful old pub near the moor. Very warm welcome, great staff and a fabulous Sunday lunch roast beef! Starters and pudding were very good too!
Lovely lunch thank you. Looking forward to sampling the rest of the menu in the future. We had the Tapas and Paella and most of the puddings. Big up the Churros!
We had four glasses of large wine that were short measures. The crab starter was very tasty, a £2 supplement for this particular starter with hardly any crab inside, approximately a desert spoonful. The roast dinners were very tasty, but the cappuccino was not made correctly, it came in a small coffee cup and was like a flat white coffee. A very friendly landlord !
Amazing little country pub with fabulous food. We’re on holiday and were so impressed we’ve made another two reservations. Staff friendly and welcoming, a joyous find.
We will definitely be going back, we went for Sunday lunch and the food was excellent and the staff made you very welcome, can't wait for October as that's there seafood special month.
Excellent food! Nice proprietor. Fair price. The rump of lamb was exquisite. Will definitely visit again. Made very welcome. The scallop starter is worth trying especially with the black pudding.
Fresh ingredients of good quality, properly cooked. The atmosphere was good, the service excellent - attentive without being over the top and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I cannot understand how we have never been before.
The food is wonderful - as usual and there is a very extensive wine list. We would highly recommend a visit to The Racehorse Inn.
All the staff were very friendly and provided great service, great choice of drinks, the food was exceptional and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening
A real gem. Wonderful menu, beautifully cooked and presented at a very reasonable price. The wine list is small but hand picked by the owner for taste and again good value. Service is casual, friendly and efficient.
