Lovely restaurant. Fab hosts. Food is superb and worth waiting for at busy times because it’s crafted to order. So kickback and enjoy a drink and each other’s company.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly service and amazing food. I had the pork and it was so tender. The cinnamon and apple sauce was amazing with it. My partner had the lamb and said it was the best she’d had. Definitely one of the best meals we have had

can't wait to go back! had 3 courses all perfect size an amazing tastes, service was good and we felt looked after. prices very reasonable for the quality.

Really welcoming,menu was full of interesting food and the options tried were great. Our only tiny point would be if having spare ribs a finger bowl of would have been welcome.

Great food freshly prepared so it won’t be out straight away . Great sized portions as well . Be nice to be told what ice cream you get in the trio and on top of the sticky toffee pudding , not a criticism just a little heads up . Relaxed atmosphere and a good selection of beers ,wines and spirits

The landlord was an excellent host. Unfortunately there was a mix up in our food order and our vegetarian in the party was left with no main course until it was chased by my son. Sadly the tagliatelle was not worth the wait. The wine was excellent and atmosphere very nice. Both my son and I had the 10oz steak that was cooked well but cut into strips- we prefer our steak whole with the fat rendered beyond chewy. The Cornish blue on the cheeseboard was yummy. I think more veg options on the menu without having to pre-order.

Great food cooked fresh including Fowey mussels, choices for vegetarians, fish lovers and inveterate carnivores. The service was good and friendly. Dogs welcome. Choice of gins, and Cornish beers or Pimms.

The host was welcoming and fun. He made sure we were all happy and was encouraging about slight deviations from the menu. The quality of the food was excellent and all was delicious. We will certainly return.

Full marks for the scallops, lamb and rhubarb lemon posset. A great atmosphere. Local beers and a New World red. The new signs are great - expertly hung.

From the moment you arrive its all good. Plenty of parking. Greeted in friendly manor by your host.. Food is tasty , well presented and locally sourced. A varied menu served by mannerly staff. What more could you ask? (oh, yes it's clean too!)

Found a real Gem here, Good menu with something for everyone, everything was cooked to perfection and presented nicely but without the pretentiosness associated with some fine dining estabblishments. Fine Dining ant mid range prices only serves to top off what was an excellent luch

Great food and very friendly. We went for Sunday lunch whilst on holiday and enjoyed it so much we intend to return for dinner later in the week. Huge portions, perfectly cooked, tender roast lamb and the best crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside roast potatoes.

Great welcome, the staff were very friendly. Gorgeous meal. I had the Pork Tenderloin which was amazing. Made to feel special. Would go again! Highly recommended

Lovely dog friendly pub with a great selection of beer and wine. The roast dinner was simply sublime and would highly recommend a visit - especially on a Sunday.

Good menu for Easter nice range of interesting dishes. Food was well presented. Crab & pea pannacotta excellent followed by pheasant which was tasty and moist. Reasonable price for quality dishes.

Clean and colourful pub with excellent service and very good food. 'Mine host' was most attentive and knowledgeable about not only things pertaining to the pub, but also the local district. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely Gastro Pub with friendly service and great food. I am definitely returning there in fact I have booked already to go this week for a friends belated birthday treat. The menu is good , so good I'll have to keep going back o I can sample everything on it. This visit I tried the scallops for starters then the pheasant breast for main followed by crème brulee with raspberrys.

Had the most amazing meal, nothing was too much effort. Service, atmosphere and quality of food brilliant. Will definitely be back. Bonus as they have a good gin collection

First visit to the racehorse inn, found the service slow despite there only being 12 people in the restaurant , food okay but not great compared to other gastro pubs we have visited, drinks expensive, travelled considerable distance, overall disappointed and unlikely to visit again

food was excellent and hubby commented on the music being to our taste as it was REM in the background would certainly go back for the food.

Fantastic lunch, the food and service is superb. Reasonably priced and good portion size. All locally sourced produce with good provenance and front of house has good knowledge of local beers. A great dining experience.
