The Rising Sun in Epsom is a traditional British pub at its best – independently run, friendly and serving delicious grub. With a taste for quality flavour, this Heathcote Road establishment is all about serving reliable food that everyone loves. The talented chef here has something of a old-time approach to the menu, recognising that the classics are classics for a reason. Guests can expect the likes of ale-battered cod and chips, steak and Guinness pie, scampi with minted pea puree, sticky toffee pudding and a glorious Sunday roast. With Martsons ales on tap and plenty of spirits, The Rising Sun is also a nice place to unwind over a drink and is particularly great when the garden is open. From the food to the service, The Rising Sun is about genuine hospitality and a clear Epsom favourite.

I have been to the raising sun a few times and I have to say this was the worst dinner I’ve had there. Me and a friend had chicken and pork roast and was very disappointed the veg was rock hard and the meat was very dry a long with a very cold dinner. I have to say after this visit it has put us off returning.
