About The Shipyard Bar & Kitchen

It simply doesn’t get much fresher than at The Shipyard Bar & Kitchen at Anchor House on Bath Road. Chefs Liam and Paul are obsessed with finding the absolute best regional produce and the freshest catch for use in their recipes – The Shipyard Bar & Kitchen in Lymington town centre even sources its seafood from a local fisherman named Nigel. The seafood here is otherworldly, and it may even come out looking to beautiful to eat. But believe us, from the very first bite you won’t want to stop. Try the grilled salmon or the garlic and rosemary stuffed whole grilled sea bass with your choice of sides, and be sure to wash it all down with a signature gin cocktail.

I love this restaurant so much but last night they failed us . They forgot a starter ( hadn't heard one order or hadn't put it through, but should have checked I think ) . And the fish ( my plaice , ) was undercooked . Everything else fabulous apart from truly unpleasant dry tokay that we ordered out of interest but shouldn't have been on the relatively small wine list . Very nasty and acidic . Didn't complain there because we love it and will always go back and because we don'tdon't want a complaint to become part of our evening but no w they know .don't let this put you off .... This is a fantastic restaurant and all places can have challenging evenings when slammed X X Sophie

Excellent fish menu. Both our lunch choices nicely presented & very very tasty. Short but interesting wine list too. Friendly service as well. Would highly recommend .

Great food - we had the hake which was a special. The broccoli side was awesome! Will definitely be back, the wine was also delicious!
