More about the restaurant: The Signal
The Signal is Forest Hill’s local pub, and it’s proud to be a Hippo. Yep, as a member of the small but loveable family of Hippo Inns, The Signal Forest Hill is one of those pubs that’s very much a part of its community and always there for whatever your occasion might be. The bar is good and the food harks back to the ale taverns of old, meaning the very best of British and open-fire cooking with a charcoal rotisserie and grill. The menu is stripped back so you won’t find frills, just honest cooking that gets the best out of the simple ingredients used. The Signal is proper British pubbing and, on Devonshire Road right opposite Forest Hill train station, it’s a gem in this part of London. Reservations are essential.
