The Skew of Brentwood, or, to be more precise, of Hutton, is far and away one of the best Turkish restaurants in this part of Essex. On Rayleigh Road, it’s a pretty big restaurant that’s very hard to miss owing to excellent signage, then indoors it’s cool and atmospheric. On the menu you’ll find plenty of hot and cold mezze dishes to share, fresh meat and fish from the grill as well as Turkish kebabs that are rather hard to resist. The Skew is absolutely worth heading out of the centre of Brentwood for and is loved by Hutton locals. It’s also an excellent spot if you’re only after a drink hence advanced reservations are advised.
