Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. In the best interest of everyone’s safety, we are continuously updating the availability of our partner restaurants to reflect these measures. We encourage people to still support the restaurant industry in other ways.Learn how
It’s not much of a trek up to Winterbourne from Bristol city, and it’s worth the trip if you’re looking for the best smoky, meaty action this side of the Wild West. The Smokehouse Saloon is based at popular pub The Swan in Winterbourne up on the High Street, and has taken the frontier theme to the extreme, with upcycled scaffolding planks and pallets used throughout the restaurant to create a rustic, DIY look that perfectly suits a steakhouse of this calibre. Specialising in prime steaks smoked meats like pulled pork, brisket, jalapeno-studded link sausages, barbecued baby back ribs, St Louis-style pork and beef flat ribs, The Smokehouse Saloon should be firmly pinned to the gustatory map of any Wild West England carnivore.
We waited a little longer than expected for the food but it was lovely when it arrived so that made it less of a problem.
Food was good. We were well looked after by the staff.
Small & dingy, empty, no atmosphere and no warmth or welcome from staff - didn't bother to try the food after having a drink there, so in fairness the food may be ok, that is if you want to eat and spend your money in a nondescript atmosphere !
