came back with my son who is a fussy eater and yet he loved the food and the park outside. definitely be back

I was really disappointed with the overall experience of the Smokey Cow, the pub itself had no atmosphere, the seating was extremely uncomfortable and almost school canteen like. The serving of the food was extremely slow considering the pub wasn't overly busy. Staff didn't make you feel welcome and often "huffed" when asked for drinks or condiments. The waitresses seemed preoccupied and whilst had knowledge of the food/drink available didn't seem to want to help or promote the food. Food was average, bland and from what was already a rather small selection, items were unavailable which was disappointing. There was an extremely limited selection for vegetarians. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend or return.

As the pub wasn't open inside we were sat under the marquee tent(which was in need of a clean) at the back of the carpark. Obviously outside space is limited at the smokey cow, we thought at the very least the grass could have been mowed and the bags of rubbish etc could have been moved to make the ambience better. The waitresses were lovely but quite a few items from our order were forgotten and we had to ask quite a few times for them. Wishing you all the best for today when customers can sit inside

A first, we had to wait a while to get a drinks order in as they seemed a bit short staffed (also went to another table first even though we arrived beforehand). However, after that point, a couple of new staff arrived and couldn't fault it for remaining of time. Food was absolutely amazing - main and dessert. Delicious and good portion size. Would definitely visit again.

Fantastic. Services little slow, but appreciate difficulties. Food very good, but very cold outdoors

We were there for 25 minutes and didn’t get served so left. Another family came after us (who didn’t appear to have booked) and they were served drinks and had their food order taken yet no one approached us. Our 2 year old got fed up so we decided to leave.

Marquee was up the other end of the garden so service took forever as only two waitresses were on, also there was rubbish lying about around it, Marquee also in poor condition and felt like we were sat in a refugee tent. Cancelled our drink order and had to make other plans to get food elsewhere. Shame cause the food did look very good.

Excellent service and food was great too. COVID arrangements worked really well. Will definitely be back.

The poor front of house was ran of her feet with very little help! Lovely and friendly unfortunately she was slightly whiffy But completely forgivable for her hard work The starters were amazing but the pit master (other than the chicken) was over cooked but flavoured lovely We will definitely return when less restrictions are placed upon then after covid We were very grateful to be in tier 2 and find this gem only 15 mins from our home Well done guys even with your reduced menu Some costumers need to remember standing over other tables and shouting isn’t permitted A shame unfortunately that from the council point of view as a business that’s your responsibility (which we do not agree customers should be responsible for their actions)

Went for our anniversary and it was a really nice meal. Burnt ends starter and garlic bread, ribs with cherry cola glaze, mac n cheese with pulled pork with a glass of red and a pint of Ghost Ship. No room for dessert. 😕 Loved the decor and atmosphere. Will be back with friends and family. Thanks to the staff who were really friendly. 😊

Staff are welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the outside area has a child friendly park area. The hole family enjoy our meals and we look forward to visiting again. Thank you for a lovely evening.

We love the Smoke, the staff are always welcoming and friendly and the food never disappoints. We go at least weekly and have been impressed with the way Ameelyia, Kerry and rest of the team have dealt with COVID restrictions, always smiling and happy despite difficult times and increase of workload due to table service only. Well done all of you x

Great atmosphere considering the restrictions, really friendly staff and lovely food, all round a great evening!

The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived, only three tables occupied, although it was very busy later. We found out why at the ned of our meal. Service was prompt and efficient, no complaints about our wait staff. I was looking forward to a pitmaster tray, but the menu only had an option for two people and the restaurant would not accommodate my request for a single portion. The brisket was good, but nevertheless less I was very disappointed. The worst part of the evening was the noise in the restaurant. It has a wood floor, and there are no curtains at the windows, so there was nothing to absorb the sound. Once the restaurant was busy the background noise was uncomfortable and anyone with hearing aids would suffer badly. The restaurant had a 50% off EOHO offer (after the official scheme had finished) so value for money was good, but we won't be going back.
