Excellent food, good choice and huge portions - I took half of mine home in a box. The only negative was that I had asked for a dog friendly table and they hadn't clocked that so we had to move, but we were given a lovely big space with water and noscitd for the dog. We WILL go back.

Sunday lunch at the Spotted Dog is one of our favourites. Choice of meats, veggie side dishes & extra's are really good & are excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Visited for the first time today with my Dad & 6 month old son. Can't recommend it enough for Sunday lunch. Portions are fairly big, extra sides are generous too. Will definitely go again!

Food was delicious, however we attended on a Sunday and we're only able to order from the Sunday roast menu. There were a small choice of starters and roast dinners to choose from. It would have been nice to order from the regular menu. Our starters arrived almost instantly however there was a good 40 wait once we had finished our starters for our mains despite the Resteraunt being rather quiet at this point. The waiter and bar staff service, although polite, friendly and helpful was incredibly slow and painful to watch. All very young gents who could probably do with an experienced front of house person managing them. Some people who had arrived stood for so long at the bar waiting to be served left and went elsewhere because they had stood waiting for so long. Despite this, our food was lovely, the prices were reasonable, nice decor and good location. It was nice to see a dog friendly pub for a change too. I'd return again on a weekday to try something from the main menu and give them another chance as the service wasn't bad, just very very slow!
