What a hidden gem! The food was amazing and the staff were so professional, friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful but delicious and beautifully cooked. We have eaten in many places and this restaurant quality is hard to beat. Go out of your way to visit it’s worth it.

The Square Bistro is easily the best restaurant in Poundbury. Everyone in our party thought that their meals were excellent. Once we were seated in the restaurant the service was also very good. One suggestion for improvement: the restaurant was not particularly busy, but we were left to wander in, find our table and put our coats away. A bit of a welcome would have been nice. Restaurants need customers! So show that you are pleased to see them!

It is a good restaurant in our community and we are vey pleased it is there. We will certainly use it again.

This is the first time we have been to the new premises. The colour scheme works well and the dining area is comfortable. The bar area, which is opposite as you enter, is also very attractive. The menu is just the right size - not too much to choose from, but enough to cater for everyone. We all had a very tasty and well presented main course followed by an equally good dessert. The Square Bistro is definitely our number one place to eat locally.

Everything was OK except that the restaurant was cold on a cold evening so not very welcoming or comfortable during the meal. 2 puny panel heaters just weren't up to the job. Food was very good.

2nd visit to The Square Bistro and this time we took friends, the food was great again and is great value for money. We will definitely be going again. Thanks

First timers Saturday night. Clearly a popular destination and having sampled the 2 course menu I can understand why. We shared a Caesar Salmon starter, I then had the Halibut, then shared an Apple & Blueberry Crumble with Cinnamon Ice Cream. Lovely food, great service very reasonable prices. Our first visit to The Square Bistro - Sunday lunchtime. The food was absolutely delicious; beautifully presented with amazing flavours. The star of the meal was the chocolate ale cake, with caramel sauce and muscovado ice cream! Constructive comments....The Bistro is small and was busy and perhaps the atmosphere might benefit from some tasteful quiet music and fresh flowers on the tables. The staff were very efficient; a warm smile and friendly chat from our quiet waitress would have been the icing on the cake. We would happily return.
