We had been recommended to visit the Star and Garter at the nearby pub where we were staying and we were glad we went. The food was good and reasonably priced for the complexity of it.
Just fabulous Sunday lunch, highly recommend. Extremely good food that’s good value in a beautiful pub with excellent staff! What more could we ask for.

A delightful evening of excellent food.. (probably the best sea bass I have ever had!) and wine! We often stop in on The Star and Garter pub for a drink after a weekend dog walk.. it’s a beautiful, unspoilt traditional village pub with a cosy log burner.. so we thought we’d try a birthday celebration meal there this evening and we were not disappointed. The staff are warm, friendly and courteous and the food is excellent.. beautifully presented and incredibly tasty!! Such a great evening.. we thoroughly recommend..

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast after a local ramble in the Downs. The staff could not have been more welcoming here and the food was super. A really top class experience. Highly recommend a visit.
