We visited the Thatched Cottage again last Sunday and once again, it didn't fail to impress. We all had great food, and the female waitresses were attentive and all very happy!! We'll be back
Very good. Nice food and friendly and welcoming staff. Well worth a try. Bonus on our visit was the offer of free desserts, though this was a special promotion.
As we entered we had a warm and friendly welcome. To start with we had pre-dinner drinks in comfy seating area and looked at the menu. The food was excellent, the service attentive and nothing to much trouble. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Although we booked the restaurant for the 4th January, they had the courtesy to ring us and inform us that the restaurant would not be oen until 6th January
An excellent meal in a great atmosphere. The family run restaurant is a must visit on our annual trips to Devon. It is fine dining but without pretensions. The service is friendly without being intrusive. The table is yours for the evening and the meal goes at your pace.
Staff very pleasant wine very good lovely restaurant but sadly we did not enjoy our meal so much this time felt a little rushed between courses also
We had a great time in lovely surroundings, excellent service and a superb meal. We certainly recommend. the Thatched Cottage to all who are looking for a special experience.
Sadly this restaurant is about to close - big pity as it was a great place for good dining experience. Wish the proprietors well and hope they pop up somewhere else not too far away.
