Plates were cold, some veg was warm ( red cabbage-parsnips, the crackling was soft, under cooked. The desserts were overpriced

They were very attentive and complied to our request to have a quiet Conner. We enjoyed the Sunday roast and would definitely come again.

Absolutely loved it here . The food was delicious . We had three courses , sharing Camembert , chicken burger and then chocolate delice for dessert . Generous helpings of amazing food .

We visited this restaurant to celebrate our Golden Wedding anniversary. The staff were very attentive, the atmosphere was very relaxing and the food perfect. We live in Bournemouth but always visit this restaurant when staying at Middleton House bed and breakfast in Shepton Mallet, usually annually. We visited last year and it wasn't good so when we heard it had recently changed hands, thought we'd give it a try and were so pleased we did. We have recommended it to the bed and breakfast so , hopefully, they will pass the recommendation on to their future guests.

Staff where extremely friendly and helpful and food was lovely, would highly recommend this restaurant.

It was just average, the restaurant was cold, the food wasn't amazing and the drinks were forgotten about. Wouldn't rush to go again

Went for Sunday lunch. Had a good meal for a very reasonable price. Service was fast and the staff were friendly. Difficult to find any negatives. We will visit again.

As visitors to the town, we booked for Sunday lunch (roast), new proprietors having taken over recently. Everything was as we wanted it to be - a friendly welcome, a choice of roasts, vegetables not over or under cooked, clean facilities. The restaurant was busy at times, but the staff were calm and unflustered. We would go again on a future visit.

We had to wait a little while but it was a delicious Sunday lunch. Will go again soon
