Service was poor and the meal was horrendous. Lamb dropped off the plate onto the floor and bounced back onto the plate. Unfortunately won't be hurrying back>

Staff were smart, helpful, good reception from all everybody. Food great, well cooked and plentyfull. The journey through narrow lanes was well worth it. Spotlessly clean and attractively furnished.

Good service, food delicious came out well presented. Not to much waiting around between each course. If I had to have one criticism which is minimal is if you like plenty of vegetables with your meal you need to order extra. But for me everything was spot on. Will Defiantly re visit . Top chef

Fabulous food, service and ambience. Couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. Attention to detail in every aspect of the establishment and a real sense of caring about the customer.

Good experience. Starters, 2 mains and puddings were excellent. Steaks were not cooked to our requests, should have said . One helping of chips not good. Staff lovely and very helpful.

Well presented restaurant with good service. You can have just a drink at the bar. The food was good, a varied menu and beautifully cooked. Particularly liked the sharing platters that were available.

Great food every time but sadly service is lacking! We've visited a couple times just recently and the service has been slow. We've had to ask to order more drinks and water for the table.

Booking was simple and efficient. Venue was great. Service was attentive but not overpowering. There was a good choice of dishes including vegetarian options. Food was well presented and of first rate quality. Portion sizes were sensible. I will certainly return.

Lovely ambience and friendly, helpful staff. Then the food was in portions fit for a king with beautiful flavours and textures. The seafood sharing platter was wonderful.

We enjoyed our meal with friends. Recently refurbished pub with pleasant decor & staff. Service was attentive but not intrusive. We had set lunch menu which was limited but acceptable & food was well prepared & presented. Our table was if anything a bit too close to our neighbours on either side for overhearing their conversations. Price was reasonable for quality of food. We will certainly return.

Just so lovely sitting outside a real cottage pub experience together with a great menu and excellent service in every way. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

Food very good but having booked a table for 8pm did not get to table until 8-30pm. Table right by the kitchen entrance so had to ask to move as not very relaxing being next door to a swinging door. Once at our table service very slow.

We had a lovely evening. The food was very good and the staff were exceptional. I have a food intolerance and the dish was adapted to accommodate this. Nothing was too much trouble! It was a great way to celebrate our friend's 80th birthday.

This is the second time that we have been able to find the time to visit this pub. My wife and I both hade different dishes and the were both fantastic. A warning though, you better be hungry when you get there

Great food from an excellent menu. The service was outstanding -- attentive, but not smothering. The gardens are lovely. I recommend the chicken livers or crab and potted shrimp.
