It was our first visit, we really loved the food. It would have been nice to have a bit of background music but the overall atmosphere was still nice. I only knocked a point down for service because we were given a wrong menu but that issue was dealt with anyway. Service overall was great. We will definitely be back.

It was all really good do love it there my only niggle was we were sat next to the fireplace in the back room and there was a cold draft coming down the chimney so won’t sit there again

Service, atmosphere and food all excellent. The fish pie and hake from the blackboard were absolutely delicious and difficult choices to make from such an interesting menu. A very modern and beautiful Black Forest gateau had a lovely variety of the right flavours and the sticky toffee pudding excelled expectations. We felt very comfortable Covid wise and it had a warm pubby ambience.

From when we arrived and until we left, the service was exemplary. The food was first class with one of the tastiest, best cooked steaks I’ve had in many years. We will certainly be back and recommending The Tickled Trout to others.

Great food, great service and a lovely pub to enjoy a cosy dinner. Seafood Dishes were original and prepared with great skill but more importantly they were delicious. We will be back, highly recommend.

My first visit and it won't be my last !! The noise level (I'm a bit deaf) was not brilliant but everything else was really good. I particularly liked the service provided by your staff and the manager who you can be proud of ! She is an excellent Ambassador for you.

Delightful evening with excellent food served by very friendly staff - a couple of issues - had to ask for water glasses and some napkins but overall I would say a return visit is a definite!

A girls night out. The food was lovely. Hot and nicely presented. Slight criticism we were out of the main dining hub. So therefore felt we were forgotten. Staff were attentive when required. Grabbing the attention was the issue. Until that part of the dining room had more clients. The venue looks fabulous. Will definitely recommend it. Will also return again soon
