Already one of Sunderland's favourite pubs, the Tipsy Cow is a new addition to the city centre. Taking over the historic location of City Tavern on Bridge Road, this bustling watering hole specialises in gins, rums and their very own ales. There’s more than just great drinks on offer at the Tipsy Cow, though, and you’ll find everything from incredible burgers, scampi and chips, steaks, sandwiches and desserts on their lengthy menu. On Saturdays, stop in around 9pm for live music at the Tipsy Cow, or treat yourself to afternoon tea with some friends (48 hours notice is required). Or, just stop in for a pint – The Tipsy Cow is perfect for just about any occasion. Book ahead if you want to save your seat.
Had a great meal the burger was really tasty and their bbq sauce is worth the price
Hit Wings and a triple burger life does not get much better than that combination and both are as good as you would find in the USA so when I’m in town I head for here every time
Really enjoy eating here when in this area and especially like the choice of burgers. There bbq sauce is fantastic so I might change toppings at times but the sauce is a go to choice
