The Vine Indian Cuisine

A good standard of Indian restaurant. Good service, extensive menu and excellent food. No concerns, so I would recommend more people try this restaurant, which is a hidden gem.

I usually love the vine but this time the curry was bland. I did tell them and they did take some discount off but was a let down after I'd been so looking forward to it. The bhajis were nice as usual.

The meal was fresh and delicious and the staff attentive and helpful. A lovely clean relaxing environment we had a lovely evening . I will be visiting again.

The food was excellent very well presented with a good choice on the menu . Nice atmosphere not too crowded the service was good not waiting too long between courses. very good value for money would visit again.

I’ve been to The Vine a lot recently with various friends- this visit was as good as all the others have been. Excellent food, extensive menu, friendly service, good atmosphere. I happily recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Everything is good about this place. Waiter very helpfully advised what to choose to eat and it didn’t disappoint. And relatively cheap given the quality of the food.

It was really easy to book online. The meal was excellent, we had a good variety off the menu and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Once again excellent - visit every week and never fails to hit the spot for food quality and service. Have even made dishes off menu when asked in the past

Very nice food, reasonably priced. Staff very efficient and friendly. Clean tidy and modern appearance. Would recommend a visit and we will return. Reasonable car park if you need it.

Overall we enjoyed our evening at The Vine and will be returning in the future. The reason for the score of 5 is simply the food was excellent, wonderfully cooked and can't be faulted except for the fact the dishes we chose were very "wet" and came with far too much sauce giving the impression at the end of the meal that we didn't initially enjoy as there appeared to be a lot of waste? Nothing could be further from the truth and perhaps on our next visit we will request less sauce?

Extremely pleasant surroundings and delicious food, can't speak highly enough of the Vine, Ali the owner was a most convivial host and took time to ensure we enjoyed our evening. The restaurant is tucked out of the way and has a good large car park, shall be returning soon

The staff were polite and attentive, the food was gorgeous, I just loved it all. I will definitely be back in the near future. Full marks from me

Table not ready had to wait an age at bar to be served even though only us waiting because they were doing drinks for table customers. Had uncomfortable low table at the very back of the top room, cramped a little, kept knocking table with knees. Were offered poppadoms straight away looked promising bit unfortunately had to wait over half an hour maybe more for someone to take our order (after asking) then starter took at least another half an hour to come and mains same. Felt like we had been waiting an age. Food was very tasty though and portion sizes generous. Excellent pickle tray loved the red sweet sauce!!!! Would like to try again when it wasn't so busy to see if was any better as was promising.

Mixed kebab and lamb Tika Masala The lamb was tough. Couldn't cut and was very chewy. Disappointing overall experience as the Vine had been recommended

This restaurant provides first class food. We have been regularly with different people, all of whom have enjoyed every mouthful.

Food was lovely as usual, but this time waiting staff really let them down, three attempts just to get a drinks order right for 5 people, it's not rocket science especially when 3 of the drinks were 3 pints of Cobra!!!!!

The food was first rate, the service was prompt and attentive, the staff were friendly and helpful, and it was not expensive. Good all round.

We were a party of 18 so a lot of orders to take - food was slower than expected but due to size of party understandable. When it did come, it all came together so all ate together. Really enjoyed food. Staff friendly and ordered taxis for all after the meal.

Lovely food, good service apart from an older chap who took our order...he was not welcoming or even pleasant luckily the younger staff made up for it!

The first waiter we spoke to as we walked in was very rude,but from then the waiter service was excellent and the food was lovely,would definitely go back.

This was the first time we have taken our 21/2 year old to somewhere other than a family pub for a meal and it was his first 'proper' curry. The staff were brilliant, bringing a little pot of sauce for him to try before we ordered for him. The food was excellent and the friendly staff helped make our evening very special. We'll definitely be going again.

It was an Excellent Indian meal at the Vine again and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Varied menu and the waiters were all very helpful to us.

Lovely food & nice restaurant. A few of the staff let it down with poor communication. Been here midweek & couldn't fault it, however on a Saturday night it gets busy & I feel some of the staff struggle with this.

Booked a table on line. On arrival received a warm welcome. Good selection to choose from. Quick service and food was very tasty. Would definitely go back!

This was our first visit to the Vine Indian and the food was excellent, the service was very good and so was the atmosphere, we will definitely visit again.

Restaurant provides good quality Indian food at a reasonable price. There is an Excellent variation on the menu including a good choice of house special meals

Very poor. We were not met on arrival. There were no staff front of house. We unsuccessfully tried to get someone's attention, eventually going to the bar area. At the bar were 2 staff, neither acknowledged us at all prefering to sort out order slips and bills instead. We interrupted a waiter and 10mins after arrival another waiter showed us to our table. We got our drinks but no one came to take our order. We waited again then got the attention of a girl, who got the attention of a different waiter who took the order. Another wait, the Poppadoms came. The starters we ordered never came but eventually our main course did arrive. Good food but it could have been hotter. We later asked for our bill....3 times....to 3 diferent people....deciding to leave as no one came to see if we wanted desserts etc. The bill didn't come and we could have easily left without paying when someone else wished us good night, hoping everything had been nice.!! We pressed him for the bill, which they couldn't find initially, then deducting the starters that we didn't have!! We haven't been here before. It was extremely busy but we had booked beforehand. I generally felt that they could not cope with the volume of orders ( there were a lot of take away orders as well). But more over there was the distinct feeling that none of the large number of staff wandering around knew their roles. There was no management of the resturant floor and nobody willing to take responsibility, to the extent that staff wouldn't look at us in case we asked something, preferring to ignore us instead. The service at The Vine is so poor that the quality of the food is forgotten which is a shame. We did stick it out, however a group on a table near us left after inquiring twice about their starters that didn't arrive and the the group on the next table to us didn't get their drinks for 20 minutes after arrival. I've looked at their website. May be we went to the wrong resturant because nothing I read matches the experience we had. Can't recommend it. They need to get their act together.

Having been to Vine on a few occasions previously I wasn't disappointed, the service food were excellent and the staff were really friendly and helpful

The Vine was clean and staff very friendly. The food was quite expensive and 2 of the three dishes were bland at best and tastless at worst. Both me and my partner had the Bhuna special with mixed meats we both commented that it had no flavour. For starter I had the mixed kebab which consisted of 1 Onion Bhaji (very good) 1 Alu Chop (no taste) and 1 Sheik Kebab (very nice). Given the price it is very unlikely that we will return. Steve

Although my time of booking had to be changed by the venue a couple of hours before time, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The staff were polite and the food was excellent.

We had a delicious meal, good size portions, reasonably priced and excellent service. The staff and ambience of the restaurant were very welcoming and we will definitely be returning!
