Lovely hot roast, plenty of veg, no complaints at all

Staff was lovely so friendly and welcoming, accommodating and helpful but sadly food was not great! I had Thai green curry and the chicken was not tender and the rice was like mush. My friend had sausage and mash her sausages were lovely but mash had lumps in it! Otherwise a nice pub.

Decided to try for a rare evening meal out (Friday). Not much choice on the menu and a couple of dishes not available. Decided to order a main and a few sides to share between 2 of us. A couple of the sides came with an apology that there had been a mix up with tickets and the rest would shortly follow (our food was ordered together so not sure what they had mixed up). 15 mins later the main and another side came. We ended up rejecting the last side when it finally arrived another 15 mins later as we had finished everything else. Wasn’t asked if we wanted any further drinks and unfortunately felt like the place was being run by teenagers. No real customer service and won’t be rushing back.

Super friendly and accommodating staff. The Sunday roast (lamb) was great and some of the best Yorkshire puddings I’ve tried. The entrees were a bit underwhelming given there very small size (calamari 6 very small pieces and pate (tasty) though minimal bread to eat the pate). That said I would highly recommend and would go back.

We both had a pleasant meal. Lots of prawns on the prawn cocktail. And the fish n chips were really nice.

Limited gluten free options, ordered roast dinner but wasn’t told that they didn’t have any gluten free gravy so they served a dry roast dinner. Food quality was poor Asked for more drinks which we never received Overall poor experience . Won’t be back

Great meal for 10 family members. Home made food. Service was great. Organised birthday cake. Attentive staff. “Family feel”.

Lovely home cooked food and friendly service. The roast dinners were nicely cooked and tasty with all the trimmings. Our kids also enjoyed their freshly cooked meals. Desserts were also homemade and delicious. Will be returning soon!

Where do I start? Service and staff excellent - that’s the good news! Booked slot at 2.45 but seems we were an afterthought as food looked as though it was the leftovers with soggy veg and dried up potatoes/parsnips. The only good thing was the tender roast beef! Read good reviews b4 bkg - disappointed - wont be returning or recommending!

Waitress Faith lovely young lady her 1st day so she was a bit unsure but she was friendly and helpful. Food slightly disappointed beef was not rare as advertised and Yorkshire puddings over cooked. No apple sauce although the last popped to coop to buy some. Puddings were amazing. Overall a lovely pub for family meal few weeks in kitchenand would have been 5 star
