We had to wait a while to be served to then be told we had 2 minutes to look at the menu and decide before breakfast was finished so we had to order in a hurry. The drinks took a while to arrive but breakfast came fast. I asked for crispy bacon but unfortunately it wasn’t. The scrambled egg and toast were lovely. Perfect buttery white toast and well done eggs. My friends egg florentine looked and tasted fabulous. You get a good sized portion. You aren’t left hungry but the cakes on display looked so good I took a slice of lemon drizzle home with me. It took a while for get the bill.

I am afraid we did not stay to eat as the smell of cooking was too much ,it would’ve seem that the ventilation in the kitchen area was not working correctly they need to sort it out before we would even consider rebooking

Very polite and friendly staff, but it was a busy time and only one waitress on duty , so she struggled to keep pace.

Can be noisy when full. Service rather slow, had to call the waitress several times. Food not quite like menu description. portions small for price. We like the owners, everything is better when they are on the premises.

Very busy, so the staff both kitchen and serving were working very hard to keep up and did so with grace and charm. The deserts were outstanding and perfect for a hot day. The plaice for the lunch time main was cooked to perfection. We will be back.

We booked a table for our wedding anniversary, we have never been to the restaurant before, so our first visit. I must say, food was absolutely amazing and so tasty. Staff was so welcoming, we were looked after by two waitresses, and they were so friendly. I had salad to start with, my husband had black pudding bonbons which he absolutely loved. For main we had Lamb shank Shepard's pie and that was really nice. Whole experience was super nice, we will be coming back. We highly recommend this restaurant, we give it a five stars.

Lovely food...Fantastic roast potatoes! We were a party of 9 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Very friendly and efficient service. Atmosphere good although some diners may struggle with the acoustics, especially if the restaurant is full. A great lunch out and we look forward to visiting again soon.
