The food was delicious nothing cheap Nasty and frozen here all home cooked and fresh , the price was very reasonable as well the only thing I would say is lone diners can’t get the offer which seems a bit unfair as there is plenty of singles who would enjoy this meal is £12.00 for two or £10.95 for one . My advice would be get there early as they sell out fast

My friend and I had a great meal. It was hard to make conversation because of the noise of the other patrons talking. A positive was that there was no piped music to make hearing each other even harder.

Very disappointed....... lack of communication....... we turned up to not be informed that there would be only a carvery that night as chef was poorly....... my husband even phoned up 45 mins before we got there and they didn’t like it was acceptable to tell him on the phone that’s it’s only carvery we booked this place to have the hot rocks meat experience!!! The pub was dead and not a nice atmosphere the staff are young and clueless we have had our drinks and left don’t even wanna try this pub again now was of our time what a way to spend my husband birthday !!!

Date night with the hubbs. Was recommended by a friend. Steak night on a Tuesday. 2 for £20. Served on a hot rock.... best steak we have had in a very, very long time. So why were there only 2 others in the restaurant?? Will be a shame to lose this.

We went for a Sunday Carvery, the meat was cooked perfectly and was tender to eat. The vegetables Inc roast crispy potatoes were tender and delicious. The gravy and Yorkshire pud was just like my Nan makes it. Home from home, worth every penny. The service was friendly and nothing was too much trouble, a lovely place to be.

Slimy lettuce served on a extremely quiet evening, pulled pork was chunks not pulled and cold so not pleasant to eat, 3 times cooked chips only tasted on their chip pan, waited 45 minuets for 4 burger meals, Not a great 1st impression of a local pub. Shame really as I like using local companies

Excellent service and lovely food, we were made very welcome by all the staff. It was very busy for mothers day but there was hardly any wait and we enjoyed it all.

Excellent customer service and the meal was lovely too. However would have rated 6 star rather than 5 due to no horseradish to accompany the roast beef

Excellent helpful staff, very organised but friendly. Plenty of parking space (important for me) an excellent choice of carvery meats and one of the best selection of vegetables I have seen on a carvery. Roast beef perfectly cooked and melt-in-the-mouth- quite unusual theses days as most places seem to burn it to a boot leather texture. Would have scored 6 except meat portion 'not generous' at the price.

The service and surroundings were very good, the carvery looked good with good variety but unfortunately it was all a bit tasteless. Perhaps lack of seasoning in the veg but even the meat lacked flavour. It was a shame as we really wanted to like it!

After booking the B and B for a business trip I decided to book a table for myself in the restaurant as I thought it may be busy on 14th February. After a rather rude phone call questioning my booking for "only one person" I was told that there was a set valentines menu on that night. I didn't mind this. Anyway, the food was very overpriced, it was pretty bland and minimal for the £50 for two people menu. I had a guest join me in the end, and she found a rather large and hard item in her mashed potato. We complained to the waitress who was not apologetic but said she would pass the comment on - we didn't hear any more from her. (This experience was made much worse by the fact that my room was unclean and the bed clothes had various stains and hairs all over them!) Summary: Expensive, poor quality, unclean and unfriendly.

Great selection of gruten free food on the carvery, nice hot food and great service from staff. Will definetly recommend to others who suffer trying to find restruants to cater for gluten free.

Very quick friendly service and nice food. Waitresses made sure my baby was comfortable and offered pillows in the high chair as she's quite little.
