A bit disappointing after reading such good reviews. The roast beef was too pink and it was difficult to cut up and chew it. Also too much gravy. Good veg, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Cheesecake and ice cream - average. Good service. Was expecting something more special.

The meal was good and fairly priced. It is child friendly. Only reason for not giving full marks was the child's meal brought out was not what was on menu. I should have sent it back but kept it and my little one didn't eat much!!

It was a lovely pub/restaurant and the people were friendly and the food was delicious. The only thing I would say is that some of the staff were quite young and inexperienced and may need some additional support or training. Overall a lovely experience.

Good food, children's pasta portion could have been larger but otherwise ok. Nice to get a free pud for mum on Mother's Day. Would go back

Went for Sunday lunch. The outside of the building doesn't do the inside justice so don't be put off. The food was lovely and the service was good!

Attended in party of 6 for a Saturday birthday lunch. From the outside we didn't know what to expect (ample parking) but inside it's quite impressive. We valued the different dining areas which gave us some feeling of privacy. Staff were very attentive and polite. Menu offered good variety at a reasonable price. With a couple of good specials. Well stocked bar too. Some decent real ales and good wine list. Overall we enjoyed the food - the rack of lamb special was excellent - had a good meal and enjoyed ourselves. What let the place down from getting top marks was really lack of attention to detail: initially wrong menus on table. A special not served quite as described, overloaded and undercooked chips, a blocked urinal (must have been from night before), signs the toilets and carpets haven't recently had a really good clean ( build up of grime behind the cubicle door) and areas of shabby decor. However, all of the above issues easily fixed by the owners. With a friendly staff team evidently capable of doing a really good job. Id be happy to return again.

Good food and nice, friendly service. We let them know in advance that we would be bringing our puppy with us, which was no problem at all. I noticed water bowls had been put down too.

First time I've eaten at this pub. Very busy but the waitress found us a fairly quiet corner! Attentive staff, prompt service and the food was hot and tasty! Car park was very dark when leaving. Glad I wasn't on my own!

We thought the dinner menu was a little limiting. There was some usual suspects however with some unusual additions which limited your choice. I could only find 1 starter I liked and my guests couldn't find any starter. But as far as atmosphere, service, friendliness all very good.

Really tasty roast dinner, and catered gluten free. Venue much nicer inside than looks from the outside. Easy parking and very friendly staff. Thank you

On the whole our meals were very enjoyable but despite two advance phone calls, a vegan option was very disappointing. The request was for the menu risotto but with kidney beans to replace the cheese. All that came was a dish of plain rice with beans and none of the courgettes, peas or lemon oil. We asked for the extra, but by the time they arrived the meal was cold. The staff did take the price of the risotto off the bill. Perhaps there needs to be a Vegan option on the menu: it's a growing trend!

I've been going to the Wilford Green since it opened and always had a good meal. I was very disappointed on my last visit, the burger didn't taste so good and our friends thought the same. Not sure what's happened :(

Food well cooked and presented but peas were missing in the Risotto. Not too large portions for mains and not too small for desserts. Service could have been a bit quicker i.e. notice plates, glasses are empty etc. Fair price. Naff music.

We met up with friends for lunch. Pleasant ambiance and atmosphere. Had pre lunch drinks. Friday menu OK for us as we wanted a light main course with a desert. Our food arrived hot and well presented. we thought it was good quality food. The downside was we believed the drinks were slightly expensive and so we will search the local area for an alternative venue next time we visit.

Four people dining. One had slow roast belly pork which was cooked but wasn't 'crispy'. Two people had fish & chips - both fish looked & tasted like the fish had been into the fryer more than once; the batter was dark & too hard so had to be removed, not eaten. The fourth person had the special which was a beef stew; the meat was fine (only one piece was a little tough) but the gravy was thin and not thick & juicy as one would expect. Service was good however, staff being friendly & pleasant.

Very good food with new menu. Poor service with staff stood chatting away at the bar rather than delivering drinks to table and collecting plates. Remember the customer comes first.

Nice restaurant. I had sea bass fillets which were large and very tasty. Hubby had sirloin steak which he said was good. We had a cheese platter between us and finished with coffee Americano. The waitresses were very pleasant. Would go again.

Menu seems similar to before but the presentation and content (of the roasts at least) had changed. Don't think it was quite as good as before, although the meat was tasty.

Excellent value, good food. The only thing we could of fault was that there was only one waiter and one barman and the restaurant was quite busy.

We very much enjoyed the food at The Wilford Green Pub & Kitchen. This was definitely the highlight of our visit. The service was also attentive and professional. There was not much of an atmosphere however for a Saturday evening, which was a little disappointing. Also my guests cask ale tasted a little vinegary so perhaps the lines needed cleaning. However I would happily dine here again as the food was excellent!

Good food, nice atmosphere and lovely staff. Our food was delayed as they were busy and the manager came over to apologise completely unprompted - we hadn't noticed as we were engrossed in conversation so that was a nice touch.
