Food was really nice, cooked and tasted perfect, staff were friendly. Had the cheek as main, could of reduced portion a bit and still would have been satisfied, tasted great and was cooked perfectly. Reasonablybpriced for what we had. Thankyou.
Them Apples, a new establishment occupying what was Fatbelly Freds. I was very disappointed Fatbelly Freds finished and left, it was a fantastic restaurant so Them Apples had a lot to live up to, did they manage it? I think they smashed the ball out of the park to be honest, a birthday celebration we had two starters and two mains and a bottle of wine which came in at under £60, reasonable in itself but considering the quality of the food it was outstanding. We had fishcakes and mussels to start, both lovely, cod and Ox cheek as mains, both of which blew us away. Lovely wine, perfect portions, good attentive service, sorry we couldn't manage a sweet, we were so full, so glad we have another great eating establishment back in town, a worthy replacement to the previous owners, please try them out as it would be a shame to lose them. I for one will be booking my next meal out there to sample the rest of the menu (or maybe not, that Ox cheek was so good I may have to order it again, and the horseradish mash was very skilled), thanks guys, see you again soon
Fabulous food and a very attentive and friendly waitress. Great choice of starters and mains and the hake special was amazing A bit cold when we arrived but a fan heater was produced and we all warmed up. This was our first visit to Them Apples and we will definitely be going back😀
Great food, service and wine. We often struggle to find places that we actually want to eat at in Barnstaple so it was nice to find this place. Thanks very much Them Apples.
Lovely food, served by lovely staff! The fact that everything is locally sourced was the reason for our visit & we were not disappointed. We will definitely be returning. Already recommended you to family & friends.
