So, what can you expect from the menu at Tierra Kitchen Lyme Regis? Well, first and foremost you’ll find natural, high-quality products that are blended to make creative dishes that don’t skimp on taste. If you’re visiting this town centre vegetarian haven for brunch or lunch you’ll find a Mediterranean-style selection of small plates including Moroccan ratatouille; housemade flatbreads and dips and the duo of croquettes filled with spinach, nutmeg, squash and sage. With plenty more besides, including a special menu for the little ones, starting your day at Tierra Kitchen is a total delight.
If you’re visiting Tierra Kitchen a little later on we recommend kicking things off with a few starters to share. Some favourite include the sweet potato nachos topped with guacamole, salsa and sweet potato crisps, and the wookey hole cheddar souffle served with spicy leaves and piccalilli. Then, for the main event, the roasted cauliflower steak served with pine nuts, crispy polenta and slaw and the parsnip rosti with cashew ricotta, Moroccan ratatouille and dates both go down an absolute treat. Absolutely loved Tierra Kitchen, a lovely place, great friendly service from front of house Mike and the food from chef Mark is outstanding... The vegan options were amazing, full of flavour and very creative. Would highly recommend.
Amazing imaginative food, fantastic vegan options. Wonderful service. A little gem. This was our third visit and we hope to return again soon. We love it here.
Tierra is a fantastic vegetarian restaurant. Definitely an asset to Lyme Regis. We came in the evening to celebrate a birthday. There was a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts. All of the options were interesting with some great ingredients, not your 'normal' veggie options. They even inspired the carnivore in the party! They all looked amazing and to start us off, some fabulous freshly cooked artisan bread. Service was great, food was delicious and a good choice of drinks. We will definitely be back again. We may try the lunch, where there is a tapas style menu.
Always consistently EXCELLENT.. so fresh and innovative. Menu is so exciting and changes with the seasons. Mike, front of house is so attentive and Mark the chef is quite frankly brilliant.
Although my wife and I are not vegetarians, having eaten well during our break in Dorset, we fancied something a little different. We were going to the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis so needed to eat earlier than usual. Tierra Kitchen was exactly what we wanted. The food was delicious, flavoursome and service friendly and prompt. We recommended Tierra Kitchen to our holiday accommodation so their guests in future might visit.
Rustic small little place near the beach in Lyme Regis. Food all came quickly and the staff were very polite. The food itself was great- the arancini was crispy and the accompanying veg was tasty enough to be a meal itself which is obviously important in a vegetarian restaurant(!). The kid’s menu pasta was a generous portion but tasty enough that our 11 year old ate all of it. Desserts were delicious- a sponge with liquid meringue and poached fruit- one of the best vegan desserts I have had (and I would say 50 percent of the menu at least was vegan).
Very happy with the return to the small plates menu, and the inclusion again of triple cooked chips. A couple of dishes, chips and a glass of wine is a lovely way to spend a lunchtime. With a friend, we had trouble choosing our dishes (recommended 5 for 2 people) but enjoyed them all. Particularly the carrot and almond cakes with a mango and avocado relish. Also loved the salsa with the wild garlic potato croquettas. Service friendly but not intrusive, wine was good. We will be back!
The most exquisite food - 4 of us tried most of the lunch small dishes and loved them all. Food is 5 star. BUT - we were freezing cold, the coldest I've ever been in a restaurant, not helped by the door not automatically shutting after each entrance. The service was really disappointing - no attempt to engage us, though we were obviously pleased with the food, the table left dirty after the main course, plates cleared while one of us was still eating......this was poor service by any standards, and such a let-down of the food. The single front of house person was much too busy: he needed another member of staff. However, even a smile and a request to understand that they were short staffed would have helped.
I visit Tierra Kitchen whenever I come down to Dorset - about three times a year. The menu is always fresh and I’ve never been disappointed with the choices I’ve made. I enjoy the low key but friendly service and atmosphere.
We had a great evening here. From the moment we walked in the door everything was first class. The food was very good and the service was equally as good. We would recommend the Tierra Kitchen without reservation!
