More about the restaurant: Tiger Rock
Dear diners, please be aware that reserved tables will be held for 10 minutes only.
Forget all the other Asian cuisine you’ve tried. None of it matters. All that matters is Tiger Rock, a great little restaurant in Liverpool serving up some of the best hawker food you’ll find outside of, well, Asia. The setting is cool and the atmosphere casual, meaning all the focus is on the food. You’ll find flavours from Thailand, China, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore, crafted with love, expertise and seriously fresh ingredients. You can find Tiger Rock on Smithdown Road in Wavertree and although it’s new, it’s already very popular. Go and see what all our fuss is about, you won’t be disappointed.

When it comes to food, Liverpool has it pretty good. A casual diner can get any cuisine they want with little or no hassle. The equivalent of this over in East Asia, you may or may not know, is hawker food. Hawker food is street food – it’s small, it’s quick and it packs some of the best flavour on the whole continent. People go nuts for it. And now, we’re happy to report, the people of Liverpool and, more specifically, Wavertree, are going nuts for Tiger Rock – a new Asian hawker restaurant from the people behind Siam, another Liverpool big hitter. Tiger Rock is fresh, chilled and has hit the nail on the head when it comes to bang on Asian cooking.
The food on offer takes specific inspiration from Southeast Asia and the culinary giants of Vietnam, Thailand, China, Malaysia and Singapore. In true hawker style, food is served on little plates or in big bowls, and whilst it’s a sin to highlight one particular dish off a menu so impressive, we’ve something of a duty to inform. Try small plates of crispy chilli crab, nasi lemak, coconut rice with crispy anchovies, boiled egg and roasted peanuts, or some zingy summer rolls. If you fancy something a little larger then consider a creamy laksa or a steamy pho noodle soup, the national dish of Vietnam. There’s also classic and colourful curries from Thailand, as well as Malaysian-inspired rice dishes. Wavertree is lucky to have Tiger Rock, and as we said, Liverpool is going nuts for it. Reserve your table now!
