Early dinner with family in a heatwave day. No air conditioning, no fan. Finished the meal in great hurry as the heat inside was unbearable.

I was very surprised that we had no hesitation to empty our plates after the festive eating of two days just few days ago. Our grandkids still chose turkey as they favourite feast to round up the year. JOY :))

As my husband was unwell, I took the two grandkids on my own. No problem as they were well behaved with good food in front.

We took our two grandkids for lunch. They love the meat choice and the gigantic yorkshire pudding. The value is gigantic too, £1 for kids.

It was a very hot day. The best way to avoid slaving in a hot home kitchen was to lunch at Toby for the good food and the professional service. Highly recommended

As usual, it was the regular treat to our grandkids who are under 7. They love the food especially the giant Yorkshire pudding ,mashed potatoes, carrots and pea. The best place to encourage kids to choose healthy greens.

We had an early dinner at 4.45pm on Thursday with two grandkids. Surprisingly the restaurant was quite busy already. Some customers had even nearly finished their early dinner. As usual, the food was fresh, service was attentive. Our grandkids had their second helpings of vegetables. Delicious, they said.

I invited a friend for lunch, her first visit to the restaurant. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Not a surprise that she arranged her second visit with her family a month later.

It was a busy session as the 50% off was on. However, the waiting time was still minimal and the food was fresh and delicious as usual.

As we made the reservation very late, the staff made a special effort to accomodate five of us. There aren't many table for five and are always in high demand. Though it was busy, we had good service and food. What more can five hungry customers ask :))

We took two grandkids for lunch. They chose their favourite turkey though there would be more turkey at home the next day, Xmas Day. Both love the mashed potatoes, carrots and peas, not to forget the Yorkshire puddings floating on the yummy gravy. Definitely we enjoyed our roast beef at our 'second home' !!

Though my 4 year old grandson is a fussy eater, he is a great fan of the carvery. Certainly the spong cake with custard is a great treat too.
