Vaishali has a huge and elegant dining room, filled with pristinely set tables and modern decorations. However, this superb Indian eatery just off the M5 on Rashwood Hill is also often filled with happy punters, so be sure to book ahead if you want a spot! To go with its sophisticated atmosphere is a wide array of sophisticated Indian dishes, some old and familiar, others unique and intriguing. Start off with some spicy calamari or cheese and cauliflower samosas before moving onto a lavish main meal like sumandari khajana (overnight marinated salmon, king prawns and tilapia cooked in a fresh garlic connda sauce), a vegetarian combination with paneer, aloo and chana or a low-fat creamy lamb korma. Surrounded by beautiful countryside between Droitwich Spa and Wychbold, Vaishali is a worthy pit stop or special destination for any midlands spice hunter.
The restaurant gave us good service and food was excellent and served promptly. Plenty of choice from the menu and the selection of starters that we ordered were very good.
