Lovely food, great service and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Have also been to their sister restaurant in Epsom which is just as nice. Nice setting and has taken me a long time to find a nice Thai restaurant that is reasonably priced.

This visit was very disappointing. We wanted a Thai meal with friends. We looked on the website and the Thai menu was advertised. However, when we arrived the bar staff informed us that the management had taken the Thai menu off and had not updated the website and that it had been this way for a couple of weeks. Very disappointing. The bar staff said a lot of the clients turn up for Thai but it is not available so many customers are dissatisfied. I believe that the management think people would rather eat burgers and hot dogs in the summer!!!! But don't feel it necessary to change the website and take off the Thai menu. The bar staff were great and gave us free drinks which we appreciated. But being a local in Surbiton I would not go to the Waggon and Horses again with a menu of burgers and hot dogs.

The food was nice without being outstanding. It lacked the vibrancy of flavour expected from an authentic Thai restaurant. There was a disproportionate amount of green and red peppers in all the curries. The thai tapas portions were small and not a lot different from similar food bought from the supermarket The crispy duck portion was small and very dry, obviously not fresh. The main portions were a little more generous and filling. The service was pleasant,. The decor was warm and comfortable. The outdoor area looked very inviting for a drink on a sunny summers day. We were here about 8 months ago for dinner and the Thai food was so much better. A fine place for a casual beer and a Thai curry with a few friends if you live locally.

Good quality Thai food, lunch for 3 one Friday was really nice. I think the lighting could have been a bit brighter for an afternoon, but overall the atmosphere was nice.

Food was great as usual, however we had a very long wait for our food which was disappointing (arrived at 8pm and received our mains at 10:15pm) and we had to ask 3 times for our starters. This was our first time taking friends here after recommending it to people, so it was a shame the service was so poor.

Good food and very wide ranging menu. Service a little slow and wouldn't change an item on the set menu for us. Little bit pricey but would go back.

Very disappointing! We chose to move from our reserved table as over half of the area was setup for a large party, so we ate in the bar (this area hasn't been refurbished and is looking very tired). After waiting nearly an hour for the starter (mixed selection- Dragon) when it did arrive it was cold, I'm guessing the kitchen can't cope with regular orders alongside a large party. Giving them some credit they did say they wouldn't charge for the starter. Mains (red curry, Lamb massaman) were tasty but still not that hot. An awful lot on the menu which always makes me nervous as they can't make all of that fresh. A shame as I remember when this pub was a Thai years ago, this is nowhere near as good. I won't be back!

Very much a boozer at the front then a pretty quiet dining area at the back. Food was ok, jungle curry was a bit watery and lacking in substance.

Excellent food and service as always. A very enjoyable meal and good atmosphere. I have been visiting Norbiton Draggon for many years and they are always consistent.

The food was good but the service was terrible. The owners need to decide whether they want to run a restaurant from within a pub or just have a dedicated area where people can sit if they want to eat thai food. The waiting staff were nowhere to be seen-took 25 minutes to order a starter and thereafter we had to "hunt down" a staff member to order our mains/food/napkins/bill! Very disappointed as the first time we went it was much better-just needs dedicated and experienced waiting staff and they'll have cracked it!

Very enjoyable food which was very satisfying as me and my wife have been looking for a local Thai restaurant for some time. I would definitely go back and the staff were very friendly!!

Excellent food and service as always. Very tasty Thai/Malay food, worth sharing the Dragon Platter and excellent Nasi Goring (fried rice). I'm eating there so much now, I think the menu needs to be extended.

The service was terrible after 2 hours we walked out as we still hadn't received our main course and took close to 45 min to get a drink. Hard to say how the food is as we never got it! Very disappointing to say the least!

My friend and I ate at the Waggon and Horses last night - by the time we got home both of us were sick. Service was ok. Given my bad experience I wouldn't eat there again!

Great atmosphere. Food service a bit slow, but well worth the wait. The Nasi Goreng and the spring rolls as well as duck rolls were excellent choices. Good selection of wines at reasonable prices.

The service was not attentive, and slow. I ordered the Pad Thai - a staple of any Thai restaurant. Unfortunately it was bland, and didn't taste like Pad Thai at all, just a noodle dish. When we told the waitress, she told us the chef was Italian, and we didn't get an apology. Disappointing.

Great Thai food and when we left some of my friends even ordered take away! Rugby was on so good atmosphere on one side while other side more relaxed. Can't wait for summer where the outdoor garden looks great. Thank you

We had a really lovely Thai meal on Mothers Day & would definitely return again soon. Just one little 'gripe' ......we were seated upstairs in the corner and it was rather dark there, but that didn't spoil our visit. it just needed more lighting in that area.

Although we were very impressed with the food, and would return on that basis alone, the food took over an hour to arrive. Tables arriving after us were served and finished eating before we got our food. And the restaurant was only half to three quarters full. Manager did give us a round of kids drinks and my wife's wine off the bill.

Unfortunately the restaurant was having a problem with its gas supply, but we were not told at the beginning. The food took ages to arrive and when it did, it was either not hot or overdone! The Manager was very apologetic and gave us a 50% discount on the food. The waitresses did their best but nothing could really make up for the poor food. All of the other guests experienced the same problem.

Great selection of Thai food. Well cooked. Good service .Reasonably priced. Would recommend. One thing lacking was good ambience as place rather empty but weather bad that evening.

Decor and ambience is fantastic. Food is not bad. Service is ridiculously slow although we'd seen this on other reviews so were ready for that. Ladies toilets out of toilet paper which is just so unnecessary. Probably wouldn't go back for a meal but the lounge area for a drink looked good.

Had to wait a ridiculously long time for everything. Terribly slow service. When the starters arrived they were cold. Main course took so long to arrive that we gave up and left.

The food was excellent as always but the atmosphere was poor, no soft Thai music playing and a very miserable waitress instead of a bubbly hostess which is a shame.

Lovely food and nicely decorated restaurant - a big improvement on how it felt and looked before becoming the Surbiton and Dragon. Looking forward to coming back soon

we're slowly working our way through the Thai menu, some dishes are too "western" and not authentic enough such as the satay and noodles, but was very pleased with the dim sum and fish cakes. The pulled crispy duck burger went down a storm with my teenagers, with chips! which just shows where the East meets West does work.

Excellent idea to serve Thai alongside English menu, this pleases both halves of my family. However some of the Thai/Malay dishes are not authentic; beef rendang wet not dry, roti greasy uncooked not fluffy and pulled, Thai curry all potato no meat. This won't put me off visiting again to try more dishes on the menu, if the food could improve I will be having take away as well.
