we were recommended to try this restaurant, we arrived on time and was seated straight away, the menu was just what we were expecting and ordered starter of chicken wings between us, no plates so had to use the board they were served on. Main course arrived and my wife had to send her steak back as it was cold, no one asked if I would like to send mine back so that we could eat together, jenga chips arrived which we had not ordered when my wife's steak came back the owner (we think) hovered over her while she tried it, and serving the peppered sauce in a small glass bottle is not ideal as it was so hot you could not handle it still not hot but as I had nearly completed my meal she decided to eat it, no one asked if we would like any sauces ie Mayo or ketchup, when the bill arrived they had not taken the jenga chips from it, so we paid in full and in fact left a small tip, service was poor but why oh why have beutiful steaks if your not able to cook it
I visited Wilson's Kitchen on Saturday, and had one of the best steaks I have ever had, my husband's double burger was a triumph. Highly recommended. Well done Wilson's Kitchen!
Overall are experience was good, our waitress was excellent. The fish/chicken/burgers ordered were very nice but unfortunately the steak ordered were all over cooked. 2 steaks ordered to be rare were at best medium. 1 steak was sent back and from the noise coming from the kitchen the chef clearly disagreed with my opinion that the steak wasn't cooked how I ordered it. I did receive another steak which was cooked rare.
Lovely place.Great food. Bit pricey. House wine very expensive. Service a bit slow. Waiter and waitress very friendly and helpful. Sides £4.00 each even the coleslaw. Desserts £6.00 so we didn't bother. The red onion chutney is the nicest Ive ever had.
