Zafferelli Restaurant

Rude staff, spoke bad about us in Italian thinking we didn't understand. Sadly for them, my partner is fluent and understood it all. Her birthday meal wasn't what we wanted it to be like after this incident.

Recent change of owner after many years of visiting restaurant. VG [newish - 2 weeks] waitress keen to oblige, v polite and charming. Disappointed with rather bland food. Too substantial portions starter garlic bread and main pasta dish and rather heavy bannoffee pudding.

It was great. Enjoyed a 2 hour lunch. Thank you.

We were 15 minutes early but they seemed not to have identified a table for us. We were offered a table that was far too small, so we left and ate elsewhere

good venue for pre-theatre meal, and coffee afterwards, staff helpful

Very slow service. People being asked to change or share tables to make space for more customers. Food OK. Not the restaurant we used to enjoy.
