Zorba The Greek Taverna Chelmsford

Overall a good night. We had a meze for 6. Most dishes were very nice however a couple were not so good. The Calamari particularly was very unpleasant and a deep fried cheese dish was so salty it was not edible. However the service and the atmosphere were great and overall we had a good night.

Food and service both amazing!! Perfect dining!! We loved it and can't wait to go back!!

This was a fabulous night out My family we’re mad early to feel very welcome and true to Greek culture my children were well looked after and catered for We ate ourselves silly with the meze and enjoyed lots of mythos Please do go and try it out we found real gems

You might be in Essex but with Zorba you get a great taste of the Greek cuisine and atmosphere! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming an really made you feel a part of the family. The food was great and the desserts most certainly were an added bonus! Really couldn't recommend this place enough. Thank you for a great evening out, will definitely go back soon

The food arrived very swiftly and was tasty but I wouldn't recommend or return to this restaurant for the following reasons:- The food was expensive and luke warm. The waitor/manager was smiley but not attentive, despite there being only 3 (max) customers eating whilst we were there. He neither asked if the food was OK, nor offered us further drinks or courses. He spent most of the time gazing into his laptop, in full view of his guests. We gave him a generous tip (long story) but he didn't seem particularly grateful. I think he thanked us. Our bill total was correct but the individual items weren't; chips and rice against the wrong meats. Sadly, this establishment needs to smarten up if return visits are to be encouraged.

We had a great time with great food. We were even advised we had ordered far too much and he took what he thought was unnecessary off the order and guess what? He was right and saved us money...where do you get service like that? We would go back time after time...a little bit of Greece under the arches 😀

Always a pleasure to visit this place. Food and service consistently good. The host Nadeem always has a lovely treat in store when you finish your meal... Delicious orange cake and baklava. My favourite little restaurant in town, beats the chains hands down.

We really enjoyed our meal and , having visited the Greek islands several times, we found it very authentic. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We will definitely return.

A hidden gem in Chelmsford. Small but cosy. Lovely staff and fantastic food. We were really pleased when the staff (probably the owner) was honest enough to let us know that we ordered too much. He explained how certain dishes were similar to others and recommended us to change/ cancel certain orders. We enjoyed our meal from start to finish. Desserts and Greek coffee were apparently complimentary! The bakvala was home made! Highly recommend this place. Will be coming back!

We had a great time, food was amazing, I had the chicken souvlaki which I loved, big portions!! And our server was great also. Great valentines dinner 😊

After a recent visit to zorba and a not so warm welcome. The starter was fine, Taramasalata with olives and pitta bread, but not enough bread, so had to ask for more.,we had chicken and lamb souvlaki which was untasteful ,the meat did not taste like it was charcoaled,and was not even warm,salad was ok and the chips were just about eatable,not a good experience and would not eat there again
