Fast efficient service. I chose beef but it wasn’t the best, thin slices of beef that were sinewy. My husband had chicken and that was good

Overall an amazing experience with a top quality roast dinner and a real working train to amuse the toddler! Only disappointment was the lack of ice-cream for pudding! ;)

The food was ok. They roast potatoes could have been better. Too much vet, not enough gravy (perhaps serve gray in a boat so people can have as much/little as they want?)

I really like this pub and overall the food was great but you really need to take a look at the risotto, far far too dry, the creaminess comes from the slow absorption of stock not from loads of butter to compensate. Everything else very tasty and love having this place close by especially as summer approaches.

we booked to go in the adult section and were originally sat in a loud, cold conservatory with many children. Thankfully the staff member noticed that we didn't have children so offered to move us into the adult section. My beef was overcooked and there was too much cabbage on the plate. also there was no cauliflower cheese side anymore :(

A really good dinner! The plate was full, lots of everything. I particularly enjoyed the piles of beautifully cooked veg. The gravy was really tasty too. Three generations enjoyed Sunday lunch in convivial surroundings. Thankyou to Laura for moving us to the snug which was perfect.

I love this pub but it just seems to be getting a bit full of itself. Dessert menu prices are all £7.50 and the portions are either tiny or really disappointing. Soggy bread and butter pudding. Stringy roast beef. Chewy pork belly. Seems to be getting more and more average to disappointing by the week.

We love this pub. The food and service is great and having the train for the kids is a bonus! My only criticism is that it’s very inconsistent with gluten free options. Today there was very little on the menu that was gluten free - I was first told that my only option was the lentil and veg pie, so I ordered that. Then the server came to the table and said actually that wasn't gluten free (apparently the lentils had gluten in them - which is quite weird, possibly in the sauce i guess!). They said they could do the fish and chips without the batter, so I settled on that instead. It was still nice but having no choice is disappointing. Still love this pub and will come back (I’ve had some banging GF roast dinners here!), i just hope they consider allergens more when they put menus together in future.

One of the best roasts I've had in ages. So tasty and loved by all even my husband who is not a roast fan. We also had a range as one beef, one chicken and one veg - all high quality and the gravy made it. Will definitely be back
