The Balti Triangle is one of the Midlands' greatest gastronomic destinations
Residents of the West Midlands are incredibly fortunate if they have a soft spot for curry. In the 1970s, immigrants from Bangladesh, India and Pakistan arrived in large numbers, and turned part of the city's core into what locals affectionately call the 'Balti Triangle.' In fact, the balti was invented there, before spreading across the world. If you haven't already explored the Indian restaurants in Birmingham city centre's Balti Triangle, be sure to do so. It's one of the UK, let alone the West Midland's best places to eat.
