Owned by Vincent and Michelle Forrest, a brother and sister duo, this independent cafe on Dumbarton Road is passionate about providing Partick locals with something to feast on. Dishes are influenced by European flavours, with the likes of British and Italian cuisine seen throughout the menu. Traditional breakfast and brunch dishes like French toast and eggs Benedict are available, as well as pasta dishes, burgers and ciabatta sandwiches. There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too, a reflection of 279 Cafe Bistro’s welcoming nature toward all customers. We recommend making a booking for the desserts alone – the delectable treats are all made from scratch and are some of the best in Glasgow.
