Nestled along Marlborough in Newcastle’s city centre, A Taste of Persia is paying homage to the rich and bountiful history of Persian cuisine. Steeped in culinary tradition, Persian cuisine offers an array of delicious ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ dishes, and at this stylish restaurant you’ll find options like shishlik of marinated lamb chops and grilled tomato, mahi mahi-tabeh of pan-fried sea bass marinated in saffron, lemon and mild spices and fesenjan Persian chicken cooked with pomegranate and walnut sauce, among many other delectable Middle Eastern dishes just begging to be sampled. So for some of the best fare in the city, booking a table at A Taste of Persia is highly recommended.
Excellent food, excellent service. Great value for money! Visited on Wednesday night. Can’t wait to return - we love both the Newcastle and Jesmond venue. 5 stars
Small and cosy restaurant, friendly staff and amazing food. We had some starters to share and it was the best hummus I’ve ever had! Tasty food and great value. Would definitely recommend and we will be visiting again.
My first experience of Persian food. It was lovely- Ienjoyed everything I had- we were a party of 7 who shared lots of starters. I had grilled prawns (I am not a meat eater) and they were delicious. Excellent service
