A Taste of Persia - Newcastle

Pleasant, prompt service. Starters of falafel, halloumI etc were good, as we're lamb shanks in tomato with assorted rices. Wine and beers available. We liked the place.

There was such a great choice on the menu! Everything we ordered was spot on and we all enjoyed great food at very reasonable prices in a great location. Will definitely be returning!

The food and service here is always great; it's been a few years since I've been but I want disappointed. Excellent value and a nice wine to go along with the food. We were eating quite early so the ambience want quite as good as I've experienced previously (we were also downstairs) but we would definitely return and try some more dishes!

Delicious food, excellent service, reasonable price - what's not to like? Delicious mezze starters, rich stews, and the walnut and date ice cream is to die for.

We were a party of 5. The food was all delicious. The aubergine starter was particularly tasty. We also had desserts and the baklava was lovely - not too sweet which it often can be. The service was very good and the staff friendly and helpful.

Taste of Persia was a lot better than anticipated. The food was very tasty and fresh. The service was relaxed and friendly. I will definitely be back.

Really tasty food and an exciting menu. Three of us dined off the normal evening menu and had three courses and soft drinks for £20 a head.

Second visit to 'The Taste of Persia'. This was as good as the first, good food, good service and good value. Will definitely visit again, on our next visit to Newcastle.

Food perfectly cooked as always. I have visited many similar style restaurants and this comes out on top every time. We will be going back next time we fancy some Persian flavours.

Amazing food as always.. Brag will always be my favorite lamb! Mux apptizer is lovely but not a big fan of dolmeh (stuffed vine leaves). Frash flat bread is amazing, and rice with betries to die for

Excellent service, obliging, tasty food with lots of veggie options; well sourced wine and very reasonable prices for a city centre restaurant. Cosy and not too noisy setting for small and large groups.
