Flying the flag for Indian cuisine over in Anniesland, you’ll find Agra Indian Restaurant located on Crow Road. Since 1980, Agra Indian Restaurant has been serving up curries and other spicy specialities to the foodies of Glasgow, and its traditional decor and homely atmosphere makes it the perfect place for a special meal with family or friends. From time-tested favourites to modern dishes and fusion specialities, there’s something to suit all tastes on the menu at Agra Indian Restaurant. We recommend starting off by sampling the haggis pakora, before moving on to the South Indian garlic chilli, the Scottish salmon tikka or the classic ceylonese chicken korma. Book a table now!
A great little restaurant. Friendly staff. Good prices. Great food. Chef came round the tables and spoke to customers for feedback. Nice touch. Been s fee times before and will visit again. Never been disappointed.
Our second only visit to Agra didn't disappoint. The ambience is very relaxed (even when the restaurant is busy) and the menu is suitably extensive. With all the dishes one would expect from a good Indian restaurant, plus a few new and exciting variations, there is something for everyone. The portions are generous so we shared a starter of mixed pakora, which was delightful. I chose the garlic bhoona lamb for my main and this was absolutely amazing, with the most tender meat I have ever tasted in an Indian establish ment. My husband decided on the chicken tikka with a chasni sauce, which he is still raving about. The accompaniments and sundries are excellent too. The ciders are beautifully chilled and the wine list varied and reasonably priced. The service is excellent and the staff are attentive without being invasive. All in all, another wonderful evening and I would recommend Agra to anyone who wants to experience excellent Indian cuisine in an unpretentious but comfortable setting. (Robert & Derek, Anniesland).
