Without doubt one of the best curries in London and has been since I first visited in 1970.
The food was really good and beautifully cooked. Lovely people, great food and atmosphere.
We both enjoyed a lovely meal at Agra. Will definitely be going again.
We enjoyed our visit. There were less people than originally booked, but the restaurant didn't mind. The food was excellent and served quickly, and the prices were very reasonable. All in all, it was excellent.
Had a good time as a party of 7. No frills curry house with plain decor and furniture. Decent food for a fair price. Would happily return. We paid £35 per head which is very fair for this great location. Tried a wide variety of dishes and we were all happy.
Great food and friendly service in a traditional restaurant. Have been there many times.
I love this restaurant! It is an absolute gem which I hadn't visited in a while due to working from home. But last night, I went for a lovely meal with 3 mates and cannot recommend The Agra more highly. The owners are lovely people with the restaurant having been in the family for many years. The food is utterly stunning, irrespective of what is ordered. Very flavoursome, good portions and presented well. How restaurants should be! For the quality provided, I think the food is inexpensive. I gather that business is down due to the economic situation but urge longer-standing patrons to return and newer customers to visit. This is one of London's hidden gems!
Good food friendly service , cosy family atmosphere , so relaxing . excellent meal
Excellent as always ⭐️⭐️⭐️ A very enjoyable visit. Many thanks!
Nice place decent interiors and food taste is really great. Must try
Delicious food and very friendly service. We had a great time at Agra.
Best curry in London. By a mile. Great food always.
Meal was simply amazing and the attention to our table outstanding. We certainly will come back again when we visit London again.
Excellent service and friendly atmosphere, Appreciated the food. Thank you
Our favorite Indian restaurant - great food and lovely owners who take great care of their customers - and you HAVE to try their Tandoori chicken - they make it with 11 spices and it’s delicious and easily the best in London. My mother has been going here since 1964 - enough said!
The service was excellent. However the lamb in the Dansak was a bit chewey.
Best curry in London. Thankyou once again it was superb.
It was very enjoyable experience. Excellent food, service and atmosphere.
Fabulous food. Delightful people. A really great experience thoroughly recommended.
I enjoyed my time here loved everything about it the food the restaurant will be coming back
Best curry in London and very reasonable prices too. Will definitely return
Very friendly and delicious food!! Best Indian in London by far!
Great food great attentive staff lovely atmosphere in a quiet location
Traditional old school curry house. Very good service. Had a jovial vibe for the festive period.
The food at the Agra is excellent, but I am particularly a fan of their Chicken Naga dish. It is a hot curry but has this wonderful subtle smoky element that elevates it above most other curries. But it is all fantastic and the staff are really nice too! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fantastic food and fabulous friendly service. I've been coming here for years and it's till the best traditional, value.fpr money indian restaurent in the area that I know of. Highly recommended.
Excellent as it has been for the last 38 years!
Very nice Indian. Food great and old school set up. Staff friendly
Amazing curry house - highly recommended and will be back
Service was excellent. Food was fine. Portions not too big but value for money. Prices reasonable. The restaurant is very pleasant with good atmosphere. Will go again
Perfect as always - very tasty food and friendly service
The best Indian restaurant in Fitzrovia by a mile. Welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Delicious food cooked with authentic spices. The best chicken tikka I have ever tasted! EXCELLENT!
This was our first time at Agra and have to say it was best Indian restaurant we have been do during our visits to London!!
Excellent food, lovely staff. Look forward to our next visit!
Good quality food at a reasonable price with good service.
The Agra serves the best tandoori chicken in London and has done so for over 60 years. You HAVE to try it! It's not the usual dried up, small pieces of chicken you probably have seen before and is just as good as a fancy "Dishoom' style curry at a fraction of the price. Seriously. My family started coming here (just for the tandoori chicken!) in the 1960s and I have taken on the baton and introduced dozens of friends over the years. It's really worth trying. The nan bread is also exceptional.
Good food - good service - nice ambience - but of a find for this part of central London
Lovely food and good service. No wonder it’s been here for so long
Always love going to the Agra - a very authentic experience with lovely food in a very related environment
Wonderful guidance on apps and shared dishes. Lovely spot with great history.
Great food and service. I will definitely come back when I’m in London.
Excellent food good service lovely owner very chatty him and his wife. Perfect local Indian
The food was very good, which is why it is incomprehensible that the place was empty apart from us. Agra is definitely worth going there to eat good Indian food.
Great as always for over 10 years in a row now
A hidden gem, one of the oldest surviving Indian restaurants in the UK. The food is fantastic. It's a simple, well run, friendly family place, totally unpretentious and never disappoints.
Excellent food and a very pleasant and enjoyable visit. Recommended!
Brilliant as ever. A very friendly, family-run restaurant and a regular Friday night event for me and my friend. We are always made to feel welcome by the proprietors.
As always, warm and welcoming staff and a top class meal- this time chicken jalfrezi, cauliflower bhaji and pulao rice. I love this place and have been coming for ten years - with many more visits to come!
Amazing! Three of us have a get together a couple of times a year and we always go to The Agra, not just out of habit but also for the warm welcome, great food and outstanding hospitality.
Authentic Indian restaurant that has the original look and feel
