Nuzzle into Liverpool’s coolest new Italian eatery and you’ll quickly see why people are already talking about it. Al Dente, on Seaview Road in Wallasey, has the kitschy decor and comforting atmosphere to make most restaurants envious. Better yet, they back this up with amazing food. From traditional antipasti to artisan pizzas and to-die-for desserts, everything eaten at Al Dente oozes passion, experience and pleasure. Be sure to book, and it’s a good idea to arrive hungry.
Magnificent food and fabulous service. There was some small confusion over the order which was rectified almost before we'd noticed. Quite possibly the nicest restaurant staff I know!
Lovely atmosphere, great service and excellent food. Good value for money too! The starters arrived with an interesting side salad topped with pomegranate seeds, all main courses were delicious and very filling. All of my friends who had the pizza had to take some home! Would recommend highly.
Fab food good service friendly staff always welcoming have eaten here quite a few times never had a bad meal and staff take the time to remember you
You would be forgiven for skipping the first courses and jumping straight into dessert at Al Dente, if you happened to catch a glimpse of their authentic Italian Tiramisu or a whiff of their indulgent chocolate fondant going past. But as intoxicating as those delicious desserts are, skipping the rest of the menu at Wallasey’s coolest new Italian eatery would be a huge mistake. With two decades of experience running highly acclaimed Italian joints in London and Amersham, the team behind Al Dente on Seaview Road decided it was time to share the love with Liverpool.
Despite being the relative new boys on the block, Al Dente already attracts humming crowds to its cosy, quirky digs on Seaview Road. You’ll need an advance booking to nab a table, but once settled in you’re in for an authentic Italian experience unmatched in Wallasey. Pop in for a leisurely three-course lunch featuring whitebait, gorgeous mozzarella parcels and an encyclopedia of pasta, or go the whole hog with a dinner menu sparkling with traditional Italian meat dishes, a diverse antipasto selection and of course their already-famous-in-Liverpool handmade pizzas. Just don’t forget to leave room for those dazzling desserts.
