Al Gatto Nero

Fillet steak (blue) cooked to perfection. My guests steaks varied cooking times but perfect. the whole experience was top end. we all would highly recommend this eatery.

Superb food and friendly staff, a return visit after sadly too long and thrilled to find everything as great as before. A busy Friday night but the service was excellent and everyone really enjoyed their meal. A hidden gem of an Italian restaurant.

Great food and service. Lovely friendly place. They're happy to accommodate 'unusual' requests - things not necessarily 'exactly' as per the menu - but choose normally too and you'll get proper authentic Italian food. House wine exceptional.

Lovely, family-owned Italian restaurant. Good quality, reasonably priced food and drink. Great atmosphere - ideal for a relaxing catch up with friends. Will definitely be back soon.

Very authentic and tasty food unlike the chains. Friendly and efficient staff. We will be back in the near future and will recommend to our friends.

Friendly helpful staff. We were a party of 11. Enjoyed our food. The only quibble was a couple of dishes coming late but they had another large group at the same time.

The food was amazing and brilliant value ,wasn't sure what to have so the lovely waiter advised a pizza & pasta dish with side plates so we could share ! The pinot blush was on point and the best I've ever had ... Can't wait for next time we've filled our loyalty card and looking forward to a bottle of white on the house

Friendly staff and delicious food. The Calzone was particularly good and we were impressed with the homemade dessert options. Tables are located quite close together.

Lovely traditional Italian that luckily is within walking distance from us. Great atmosphere and warming staff. Will definitely be getting down there again soon. Keep up the good work

The Staff were very polite and cheerful. The pizzas arrived quickly and were really nice. The total bill was very good to. Will be going again. Recommend the restaurant to all.

Very nice meal in a nice ambience. Reasonably priced meals and very pleasant staff. Made the birthday girl in our party feel very special indeed.

Food and service were excellent as always. The home-made Tiramisu is especially good. Slightly disappointed with the Claretto Rosato Rose wine, as it wasn't as fruity as one would expect.

Went here for the first time the other night, despite having lived in Poole all my life! I drive past it most nights on my way home from work, so decided to give it a go for a change. So pleased I did as the food was gorgeous (and reasonably priced) and the staff were charming! Will certainly be return and would recommend to others. Only thing I would suggest is to dim down the main lighting a bit more during the evening to create a bit more ambiance. There there were candles on the tables, and softer wall lights - however I felt the main spotlights were too bright which prevented the candles from creating a warm & more intimate atmosphere.

We had a table of four and we all said how good all the courses were from the excellent salmon starter I had to the perfectly cooked steak I also had, we all said we would be returning to sample the delicassies again.

Great atmosphere and great food here. Eaten a few times with friends. But was great for our date night last night. Love it there. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Reasonable prices as well.

A little gem of a restaurant. Staff, grub, ambience... all excellent. Arrabiata the best around as they don't skimp on the chiles. A favourite place to eat.

Really friendly and family run restaurant. Go there very often as it's close to home, never had a bad meal. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Lovely food. Great service and a relaxing atmosphere. The waitress was friendly and helpful and was very patient when it took us ages to decide what to have. We did not feel rushed before or after the meal.

Hidden gem! Lovely staff, food has a real home-cooked feel. Lots of choices on the menu but I recommend the whitebait starter :-) Give it a try I don't think you'll be disappointed

Quick, friendly and attentive service, food was extremely good (well prepared and tasty) and we were left to enjoy our evening without being rushed or made to feel uncomfortable. Overall a lovely evening which will ensure we book again.

An old-style typical Italian family restaurant. Very welcoming, friendly staff and a warm, comfortable ambiance. A very varied menu including a selection of alternative dishes to the usual pizza and pasta (both of which are very good) and vegetarian options. The service was excellent, food delicious and we would highly recommend this restaurant.

Super little gem of a restaurant in Branksome, we eat here quite a lot and have never had a poor meal yet, you get a stamp on a loyalty card each visit and then a free bottle of wine when you have three stamps and the fillet steaks are awesome.
