Great evening, polite friendly staff and great value for money. Food, as always, was lovely with plenty of choice. Popular place and with good reason.

The food, the surroundings, the atmosphere, the staff - all excellent. Great choice. This was our first visit to this restaurant, but will definitely not be our last. I can't believe we haven't tried it before.

we really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere was great. we were given a table by the window overlooking the marina. Would definitely recommend!

We have been here before and everytime we were very happy about the food & service. However, ths time we were let down a bit. The service were still good but food portion has gone smaller. Especially my husband' sea bass were very small. My steak was a bit over cooked for medium. :(

overall experience very good, food very good, steak cooked perfectly only gripe our group had was no white zindanthal wine or palm a violet gin.

Was greeted upon arrival and taken to our table. There was lots to choose from on the menu and a good selection of specials. The menu was quite big and laminated which didn’t seem quite in keeping with the quality of the restaurant. The food was well presented and really tasty although my duck was not as pink/rare as I would have liked despite the waitress telling me it was served pink. Overall a really good meal and we’ll be returning

Great friendly service. I mentioned in the booking request it was for my parents anniversary and they prepared the table with a vase of flowers and a great view of the marina which was a lovely touch. Food was gorgeous and beautifully presented. Great value for money and lovely desserts. Make sure you visit for a special occasion!

Amazing food and atmosphere. Food was very fresh and the staff were wonderful. The duck was cooked perfectly. Nice sized portions too. Would definitely recommend!

It is a cardinal sin to serve cracked shelled and unopened muscles, a bowl of poison,! that is what was put in front of me. Any self respecting cook would know better. When the profits come before healt and safety I would say the restaurant looses the plot.

Good food, friendly efficient service and a pleasant ambience. Not a huge choice, but something for every taste and all well prepared,presented and delicious. Will definitely return.

Firstly, the plus points. The restaurant is in a prime position and the decor is very pleasant and welcoming. We arrived very early, but the staff were very accommodating and invited us to go straight to the table. We ordered our starters, which arrived in good time, and were very tasty, but sadly they arrived on pieces of roofing slate instead of crockery. (My pet hate). Then our mains arrived. Meatballs for me, my dish arrived, a bowl of spaghetti with three golf ball sized meatballs. (Could have done with a couple more for the price if I'm honest). They tasted OK, but two out of the three were cold/Luke warm at best. . I asked my fellow diners if theirs were OK, (3 of us had the same) and it appeared that I had just been unlucky. We had had just cleared our dishes but were still eating our side dishes of garlic bread when the waiters came and commenced taking our plates away, we felt under pressure to finish, bearing in mind that we arrived early we should have been given a little more time to enjoy our food. Finally, sweets arrived, once again arriving on pieces of slate. I was so disappointed. The food in general was quite nice, barring the cold meatballs, but the experience was spoiled for me by the lack of decent crockery and the feeling that we were under pressure to eat up and leave. So Al Porto, I suggest that you ensure that your food is served at the right temperature, on crockery instead of pretentiously dishing it up on reject building materials, and that you educate your younger staff to allow your clientele a little more time to digest their food. I know that using slate/chopping boards/plant pots etc to serve food on instead of perfectly decent plates or dishes seems to have become the trend but why not show some class by serving on quality crockery instead of following the herd.

The staff were excellent and the service impeccable, the meal was fantastic myself and my wife enjoyed the whole experience totally satisfied a great choice of restaurant for our wedding anniversary meal.

Top notch food and service. Mixed seafood platter was plentiful for 2 people. Service was attentive and the staff are happy and helpful. Would recommend.

A quick lunch good selection reasonably priced excellent service and ambiance plenty of space to park an ideal place to meet and we will definitely be back

I booked a surprise meal at Al Porto for my fathers 73rd birthday. Having read reviews on trip advisor I was not disappointed. The staff were lovely and accommodating, providing birthday balloons for the table. My husband and I live in Manchester and are fortunate enough to be able to dine in some of the top restuarants in the city. I have to say that the food at Al Porto was equal if not better to some of the meals we have enjoyed there. I would like to thank everyone at Al Porto for taking such good care of us and helping to make the evening special. My father thoroughly enjoyed himself and will be taking mum back for dinner in the not too distant future. Think we may have to gate crash and try the Monkfish next time!!

Good service, friendly staff, nice food but two of us who had the fish had a bit of stomach ache and felt sick during the night.

Fantastic food and service I had scallops and the 28 Oz rib eye steak was spot on even if I had to pay extra for chips arincini was tasty and the chicken white wine and mushroom dessert salted caramel cheesecake was good too

Friendly welcome and efficient service throughout. In addition to the standard menu there was a specials board offering another half dozen options. We chose meatballs and lobster ravioli. Both were excellent. For dessert we shared a baked salted caramel cheesecake. I asked the waitress whether the desserts were all made on the premises - she said she thought so but wasn't 100% sure. Dinner for 2 with a beer and glass of wine came to just over £40 - good value. Would definitely return next time we are in Hull.

Lovely warm welcome with delicious food and service. Great ambience in the restaurant which appeared very busy - obviously a very popular choice for diners.

The restaurant meal was lovely and the staff very friendly. Liked where Al Porto was and had a walk around the marina after the meal. Good location and plenty of parking.

Very attentive, great service and good food. Everyone enjoyed their meals with were served quickly and tasted amazing. Arrived at the restaurant earlier than our reservation and were given menus and drinks while we waited before being allowed to order our food and have a table earlier than planned. All the staff were lovely. Overall wonderful restaurant

This is the place to visit for superb food and service. Extremely attentive staff who serve with efficiency , nothing too much trouble for them. All in all, excellent.

We booked the restaurant for my sons graduation celebration. There were celebratory balloons which made it feel really special. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend. Great location for Marina and shops.

The menu was slightly limited and it was hot on the evening we went, but otherwise the food was very nice and so was the service.

Again this excellent restaurant didn’t let me down. A lunch time meal which passed all expectations. The food was excellent and service was too. I would highly recommend this restaurant as probably one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. 10/10

Good food, fab location, very friendly staff, nice ambience, reasonably priced. Four of us dined early, we were greeted on arrival given menus served drinks shown promptly to our table. Food was prompt, well presented and flavoursome. I tried all the dishes and they were lovely. Best marks went to the homemade canola. We all agreed that we would recommend the restaurant.

A shaky start as we arrived early for our booking so thought we could have a drink first but told to go and come back , I was so embarrassed as we turned to walk out she changed her mind , not a great first impression! The food was fantastic and the other staff were too , so just don’t arrive too early .

Amazing food me and my farther travels all the way from Leeds to try it and it was so worth it amazing staff very helpful and always with a smile I usually have to have mayo or brown sauce on everything but this was not needed at all all round amazing

Great evening. Excellent kitchen and front-of-house staff who are knowledgeable about the menu. And if they can't answer your question they go and find out. Can't ask for more than that. Interesting menu. Food beautifully cooked and well presented. Congrats Al Porto!

First time visitor and we enjoyed the experience nice food and very attentive friendly staff, i would recommend the restaurant and go back again myself.

Celebrated my husbands birthday at Al Porto with my family on Thursday 14th June . Our first ever visit and they made us so welcome . Even put balloons on he table as an extra touch . Amazing service and the food was exceptional. Will definitely be going back 👌

We went on a busy Saturday evening and could not fault Al Porto at all, the food, atmosphere, service were all amazing. We will definitely be returning.

Service slow but food good. Definitely recommend pasta and the fish dishes are really good. We did get short changed by £5 but was given it back after I went up and mentioned it.

Absolutely excellent food - all 4 courses for me & my partner were great. Often we find a restaurant that has good mains or starters but rarely both AND great deserts too!

Good food and attentive service. Great location in the marina and lovely setting in an old warehouse. Definitely worth a visit if you are staying in Hull.

Sadly we were not impressed whatsoever with the food although the staff were excellent. I had the Italian meatballs which quite frankly tasted of absolutely nothing. My husband had a steak which was ok but the pink peppercorn sauce again was sadly lacking in taste and the accompanying vegetables were completely bland. We certainly won’t be returning. Also felt it was expensive for what it was.

Brilliant food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. After enjoying our drinks in the waiting area while we ordered our food we were then seated at our table. The food was very tasty, well cooked and arrived very quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful, leading to an enjoyable evening.

Very tasty excellent flavours. If slight problem brownie was slightly burnt. Scallops was amazing steak cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Will definitely recommend
